walksalone
I saw this morning that Bill Clinton is now advocating involvement. He's a douchebag... Exactly what we need in this situation... He should just stay in Chappaqua, snort coke off of asian hookers backs while Hillary is in Washington... Link to comment
lo country
Just getting worse... http://news.yahoo.co...-003259287.html No doubt. Let other countries fight for their own rights and stay out of civil wars. Scary that intel appears that any of these groups are possibly linked to AQ. Just stay out. Link to comment

Scary that intel appears that any of these groups are possibly linked to AQ (even if they were completely secular no military aid). Just stay out. Also read the "line has been crossed" and we are now looking at what type of military aide to provide the rebels........ Link to comment

carlfense
Obama may want to keep the opposition alive, but it would be dangerous to give them weapons that could be used to take down passenger planes since the rebels are deeply intertwined with jihadist factions, including one, Jabhat al-Nusra, the administration listed as an al Qaeda ally last December. . . . But there could be another reason for doing just enough to keep the two sides fighting. The Assad regime is increasingly relying on Hezbollah to fight throughout the country. The rebels for their part are relying on jihadist and al Qaeda allies to fight back. Keeping two of the United States’ most active terrorist enemies fighting each other might be seen in some circles as not such a bad thing. http://swampland.tim.../#ixzz2WCrBG9mm Link to comment

So if Russia starts to step up its support of Syria, what is our next 'response'? This could get out of hand quickly. We help Iraq, Afgan, Egypt,Libya to 'democratize' and we end up with fewer friends. Now Syria. We need to end our dependance on MidEast oil and let them fight among themselves. Link to comment
