B1G teams are 30-36 all time against the PAC-12 in the Rose Bowl and 2-7 since 2000. Stanford has played in the RB seven times posting a record of 3-4 with their most recent win being last year against Wisconsin. Michigan State has appeared 4 times and is 3-1, their most recent appearance was in 1988 in a win over USC. Michigan State and Stanford have played each other five times with Michigan State holding a 3-2 record. Their last meeting was in the 1996 Sun Bowl, a game which Stanford won 38-0. This will be Stanford's fifth BCS bowl (2-2) and Michigan State's first. Mark Dantonio is 2-4 in bowls with Michigan State but has won his last two. David Shaw is 1-1 at Stanford. GO SPARTY!
