carlfense
Well . . . looks like the bridge story might just be the tip of the iceberg. I'll venture a guess that Christie will never be POTUS. Link to comment

Husker_x
I can't imagine a way that this scandal doesn't destroy Christie's political aspirations. I mean even if he is, for the sake of argument, exonerated as far as the bridge closing is concerned, you have to wonder how is entire staff could go behind his back to orchestrate petty political retribution and yet have the public continue to believe the man is worthy of the presidency. Not to drag this out the way the press does, but personally--and this is no expert opinion here--the only candidate I truly thought had a chance of beating Hillary Clinton was Christie. He had some pizazz to him, and politics ain't nothing if not show business. After this thing has played itself out in unending investigations, it's almost impossible to see a way forward for the Republican party any time soon. Link to comment
walksalone
I still think it's funny that nobody has though to ask anyone that actually works in the traffic mitigation industry, if this whole ordeal was even plausible. Link to comment

rawhide
The truth hasn't really shown its face around politics for quite some time now. Peoples' perception can be so easily manipulated that the truth gets lost. Whether intentional or otherwise. Link to comment
