Pro-type passer with the tools, talent and experience to have an excellent senior season. He’s thrown for close to 9,000 already in his high school career, including over 4,000 this past season. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 5% Lots of recruiting to go, but Texas has the inside track. Husker will push to get him to attend their Elite QB Academy over the summer. Quote Link to comment

Eric the Red
by Rivals.com AMP of Rivals.com Football Recruiting The Nebraska Cornhuskers did not sign any quarterbacks in 2006. As a result, 2007 Rivals100 pre-evaluation quarterbacks such as Ryan Mallett (Texarkana, Texas) and G.J. Kinne (Canton, Texas) have become hot targets for Bill Callahan and staff. In this AMP feature, HuskersIllustrated.com's Sean Callahan discusses a few names the Big Red already have lined up this coming recruiting year. Quote Link to comment
Washusker
Personally, I'd rather have this kid than Mallet. He's much more mobile and athletic, and he probably will be more likely to leave the state of Texas than Mallet will. IF Mallet signs with Texas, we've got a real shot at Kinne. Our main competition would probably be OU. Let's go after him HARD! Quote Link to comment
StuckinChicago
If Mallet signs with Texas, we have a great shot at Kinne. If Kinne signs with Texas, we have a great shot at Mallet.... Of course, Texas may be thinking that way too. Either way, I know we are going to go out there and get a big time recruit, whether it be one of these two or someone else. Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Favorites: Baylor and Oklahoma This will change another 12 times before he signs. Quote Link to comment

The Wolverines have been recruiting him hard since at least early this season if not last year. If he doesn't go to Texas, he's probably Ann Arbor-bound. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
my bet is he will follow Dad to Baylor.........sounds like he would give the Baylor offense a shot in the arm.......more equity in the Big 12 south and respect too? we shall see........... hunter Quote Link to comment

tattooedhusker
if he wants to "play for a NC" why the hell is he choosing baylor as one of his favorites? He needs to take off the beer goggles! Quote Link to comment

Washusker
I would be shocked if it isn't OU. Florida has Tebow, and Baylor is Baylor. Damn. Husker Nation continues to pray for Jaret Lee's committal... Quote Link to comment
