np_husker
Name non-conference teams you would love to see the Huskers play, if we didn't schedule so many cupcakes. Here's a few I'd like to see, in random order: Notre Dame Florida Georgia UCLA Air Force (or any service academy) Boston College Penn State Purdue Quote Link to comment
huskerstag
I'd like to see us play more big 10 and Pac 10 teams. I'd say Ohio St., Michigan, Oregon and Cal would all be good picks. Quote Link to comment
Silent Commit
Big Ten teams: Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa Notre Dame Florida, Florida State & Miami (only because I'd love for us to beat them) Ohio (only if Frankie is still coaching there) Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
There had been talk of having the Big 12 go to having each team play 10 Big 12 opponents and that would help with the scheduling issues now that the 12th game is added. Conference ties should also be developed like in the NFL. Next year all of the AFC West plays all the NFC West. While the Big 12 couldn't play every team, they could be required to play teams from a particular conference. So one year all the conference games of the Big 12 may be against the PAC 10 and another year the SEC. Or they can split that among two conferences. Everyone plays a PAC 10 and a Big 10 team. Just an idea..... Quote Link to comment
Washusker
Florida schools or California schools. We could use more exposure in those states. Just think of the recruiting doors that would be opened if we beat USC in the Coliseum. Or beat Fla. St. in Tallahasee. Other than that, I'd LOVE to play Penn State again. Two best uniforms in college football. Quote Link to comment
pigsonthewing
Auburn. LSU, Georgia, Florida State, Florida, Miami (FL), Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, USC, Oregon, Cal, UCLA, Notre Dame, Alabama, Virginia Tech, this list could get long so i will stop. Quote Link to comment
dbetz23
I think it should be required to have ALL BCS conferances to play AT LEAST 2 other BCS schools. I am sick and tired of having teams like Texas Tech and Kansas State play 2 Div 1-AA teams then a MAC or some other lower tier conferance team. It gets me irritated. Their record shows that they are a good team, when they are pretty average in my opinion. Quote Link to comment
Benard
anybody but division 1 aa teams. Quote Link to comment
BigRedDallasTexan
Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State, Alabama. Historically great programs. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
I say we put some Little 10 teams on the schedule since they think they are such a dominant conference.....look at what they did in the bowl games. We could put them all in their place. We could also ad a Cali team for recruiting. Quote Link to comment

I hate that teams do it to, but what is the solution? A playoff system? Probably not, because then 2 losses may eliminate a team from getting into the playoffs. Anybody think ND belonged in a BCS game w/2 losses over Oregon, who only lost to USC? Quote Link to comment

Texas for sure deserved to be in the Rose Bowl this year because of the Ohio State game. Mabey with the "12th game", things will change a little I knowit is a long shot, but one can dream. AR Husker Fan
I guess my perspective is a little different. I'm not so much concerned with particular teams as I am with scheduling home-and-away series with teams in locales that we want to recruit. One reason I like the USC game is that we hit California hard for recruits. Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
Ohio Got Frank? Buffalo North Carolina Oregon(then that retard Bellotti(sp) could experience th Big Red first hand instead of just throwing nasty rumors) Quote Link to comment
