austinhusker
what is this?? Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
I really hope this isn't true. Not only for the fact it hurts the program next year, but it REALLY will hurt Matt. His draft stock has to be next to nothing. Heck, he just started back in practice during December for non-contact drills. Their is no way he will be back physically for the combine to impress scouts enough to take a chance on him. He is likely a mid-to late day 2 prospect AT BEST right now. Hopefully the guy who printed this just effed up. Quote Link to comment
chuckd
That is the ONLY place where I can find this info posted. He is not on the list from ESPN and I would tend to trust ESPN more than Yahoo for info such as this. ESPN draft underclassmen Quote Link to comment
HuskerInKC16
I think Yahoo might have it wrong, plus they had 4 or 5 other guys on their list that weren't on the ESPN list. There is nothing about this anywhere, and yes I would trust ESPN over anyone on this topic. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
is he still enrolled in classes at NU? if he does declare, can he change his mind if he does not obtain an agent? i hope for the first time that espn is actually reporting something that is true because he is definatly not on their list. Huskrz65
There is nothing in the Lincoln Journal/Star nor is there anything on Huskers.com. I'd say that's a typo or some major reporting error on someone's part. Matt went down with an injury very early in the season. I'd say he definately needs another year of experience and exposure before thinking about the draft. Quote Link to comment
chuckd
I am almost postive this is not true. The Yahoo list is the only one that I have seen that lists him, I would guess that they put it there by accident from a list of players that might declare. Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
if this were true there would be at least a story from husker.com about it... Quote Link to comment

DJR313
if this were true there would be at least a story from husker.com about it... or ANY other site than just yahoo Yeah, but it begs the question, why would they think he was going pro? He didn't even play this season, and he probably won't be 100% for the combine. Makes no sense. I'd like to see where yahoo gets their info. Quote Link to comment

Someone probably just put his name on the list by mistake. It would make no sense why Yahoo would have some inside info that NO other site would have, including any local sites or stations. I may be wrong and this has some truth, but my guess is this was a mistake by the yahoo site. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
Makes absolutely no sense. Matt was one heck of a player before the injury. He hasn't shown that he can still get it done since. If he has the ability again 1 year of college ball to prove it would make his stock in the NFL much higher. Whats the best he could be drafted now???????? Its got to be a mistake.
