Mavric
Just remembered it is on BTN. Penn St. won the first set. 17-17 in the second. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Huskers overcome a controversial call late in the second set to even the match at 1. We were ahead 23-21 when we hit long. The line judge called a touch on Penn State but the up official overruled. Still won 25-22. This is #3 @ #8, btw. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Brent Wagner @LJSSportsWagner Ostrander leads NU with 5 kills on .200 hitting. Frantti with 9 kills for Penn State, and ...wow.... .615 hitting. Alicia Ostrander was a walk-on. Nebraska girl from Gordon, out in the panhandle. Worked her butt off to get to where she is. Stumpy1
The girls have looked great so far in the 2nd and 3rd set. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Huskers win the third 25-20. Not that I've seen a lot of games but this is easily the best I've seen us play this year (didn't see the Texas game). Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
After being violated in a illegal manner in set one, the girls are playing extremely well taking the third set. Let's hope they can end it in four Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
Wow. This team may just be too young to realize the number of times they could have folded in this match. From the first set assault to the five terrible calls the rest of the way. Great win for a team growing with every match they play. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Penn State is a great team, Russ Rose is a legendary coach. But this Husker team is rounding into form right about now, and will be a force the rest of the season. And next year? They lose Mary Pollmiller, the only Senior on the team. Kelly Hunter slides into the Setter position to replace Pollmiller, and the other starters remain static (although Albrecht will have something to say about that). Bottom line is, you think this top-ten ranked Husker team is good? You ain't seen nothin' yet. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Not gonna lie. Watching those first few games, I thought we were down a notch this year. REALLY impressed now. Hope they keep it up. Quote Link to comment
RotoRiot
I'm headed to the game tomorrow, can't wait! Quote Link to comment

I've been wondering about tired legs. These girls played competitive matches during two seasons, court and sand. They traveled to Japan and China, then jumped right back into the court season. They have no time off anymore. Gotta wonder how they're doing, stamina-wise. 1 Quote Link to comment
