Mavric
For those wondering how Andrew White has been faring in Nebraska basketball practices, let’s check in with a player from the Huskers’ regular rotation. “Oh, Andrew’s a dog on the scout team,” Nebraska freshman guard Tarin Smith said. “He comes in and works hard every day, rebounds, shoots.” White also causes some, well, frustration. “He makes some shots that p--- the whole first team off when we play good defense,” Smith said, offering those words in the biggest way a compliment could be given. “Andrew White, he’s helped us a lot.” Now, if only White could suit up Tuesday night, when Nebraska (10-7, 2-3 Big Ten Conference) hosts Minnesota (12-7, 1-5) at Pinnacle Bank Arena, all would be great. “Maybe we’ll sneak him in there,” Smith said, smiling. That’s not an option, of course. Link Quote Link to comment
Comish
Interesting that Smith (a frosh and non-starter) is speaking to this.................? It would seem that we should have some upperclass leadership commenting on teammates, wouldn't you think? Nothing against Smith (who I hope gets the start tonight, with Bennie coming of the bench), but it seems odd to see him as a spokesperson. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
Agree but really like the confidence in Smith. Also, great to hear that about White. Quote Link to comment

TonyStalloni
I'm hoping Petteway decides to come back next year. Having two good long range shooters in the lineup would open the middle even more for Shields. I don't think it would drop TP's scoring average down. Just make the pie bigger. Instead of scoring 55 a game as a team it might be closer to 70/75. Continue the great defense and give other teams a matchup nightmare. Quote Link to comment
