Since I haven't seen it yet, any chance this Mullaney kid ends up here?

"Oregon State wide receiver Richard Mullaney will transfer to another program for his final season of college football, the program announced Friday."

"After redshirting as a true freshman, Mullaney caught 83 passes for 1,160 yards and five touchdowns for the Beavers over the past three seasons. His best year came as a sophomore in 2013 when he registered 52 receptions for 788 yards and three scores.

"OSU and Reser Stadium will always be a special place for me and I'm very thankful of `Beaver Nation' for all the support," Mullaney said. "I also want to thank Coach Andersen for his support in my decision. I wish him and all of my former teammates the best of luck this season."

Mullaney missed the second half of the 2014 season due to an elbow injury and had just 18 catches for 216 yards. According to the Oregonian, he returned to practice in the spring and saw time with the Beavers’ first-team offense. He also had a TD catch in the team’s spring game.

The 6-foot-3, 209-pound Mullaney, who graduated in the spring with a degree in human development and family sciences, will be immediately eligible to compete for another school in 2015."

It would be great because, as Hedley pointed out, we're missing a big dude at WR . . .

. . . but I'm skeptical, as we're gonna be pushing our scholarship limit as it is. Though if rumors of further cuts/transfers are accurate, maybe there would be space for him. :dunno

Already committed to 'Bama, unfortunately.

(Hey, at least we'll be spared the "Nebraska needs better than Oregon State guys!" sentiment. Silver lining? :))
