Socialist Seattle on fast track to becoming Detroit

Recommended Posts

This is how liberal/progressive/socialism works, they cannot balance a budget they just continue to spend until they go bankrupt, then they blame Bush.

I'm kinda shocked, an ultra left-wing, socialist Seattle government not being able to settle an agreement with an very left-wing Seattle teachers union.

My socialist, left-wing, corrupt, progressive side says: Sell more drugs to the public! Screw selling weed, sell meth and heroin also!! That will boost your revenue! If I were in the Seattle government I'd place vending machines all over the city with a heroin kit, syringe, spoon alcohol prep pad and of course a few grams of heroin. Same for meth and assorted pills.

Nice of you to include an alcohol prep pad in the heroin kit. Don't want them getting an infection and having to go to a clinic and using their socialist, left wing, progressive, corrupt universal health care plan to get treated.

I guess I missed the part of the article where they talked about Seattle going bankrupt. The teachers do not currently have contracts and they're striking in an effort to gain higher wages along with other things. This is really no different than any other organized labor dispute. Once the two parties can agree on terms then contracts will be signed and the teachers will get back to work.

This has to be a troll post.

This is so bad it's good. The OP has 78 posts in 5 years, but he went completely off the deep end today.

Hahaha. Well, I've been working a lot the last 5 years but I'm sure damn glad you think it's good. Cheers!

In another thread one of the liberal/progressive/socialists on here accused me of "seeking attention"! LOLZ, imagine that. 78 posts in 5 years (79 now, keep count, I'm not an illusionist like the liberal/progressive/socialist)... and I'm looking for attention.

What does Seattle being a liberal/leftist city have to do with a teacher's strike? I'm not seeing the connection. They're currently working without a contract, right? Teachers should have job security, just like everyone else.

Are you only blaming the school system for the strike? All I know is what is in this article so if there is more, i'm interested in seeing it.

The Seattle Times reports that shortly before midnight on Monday, the district countered a $172 million union proposal with a $62 million offer that included wage increases, staff increases for special education and 30 minutes of additional instruction time in the third year of the deal.

Looks to me that there is a HUGE difference between the sides. The district offered wage increases and staff increases. Still, the union wanted a budget 1.77 times the proposed budget? When they don't get it, it's all the district's fault?
