Hunter94
Christ if we are going full retard, AJ Bush is supposed to be the back up with the highest ceiling. i hear the ball boy is showing some promise now.......start him 1 Quote Link to comment
RADAR
Fyfe should transfer to Kearney. Quote Link to comment
ADS
Lol. It's like a shark tank around here. Do yourselves a favor... go watch the re-run of Fyfe in the Purdue game. Just keep in mind our D gave up 55. For all you "he's a walk-on peeps", we've had plenty of walk-on players do incredible things.Okay we get it, Ryker. Quote Link to comment
huskers15
Ryker Fyfe is the answer. Armstrong is not. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
So I guess the last staff...and the current staff with a QB coach that made Eli Manning an MVP and RIley who has sent 3-4 QB's to the pros...all have missed on Fyfes talent Quote Link to comment

Yeah...I actually thought it was one of the Saw movies. 1 Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
His first start and he throws 2 interceptions. His receiver let the DB take 2 catches away so officially he gets credit for 4 ints. He throws for 400 yards and 4 tds. If the D had shown up even for 1 quarter we'd have won that game. I'm not saying he's a great QB but I think he is better than the starter. His ceiling is surely higher. I'm not really taking a stance on this, but I do agree that he really only threw 2 picks. Other than those picks, and they were awful, he played really well against Purdue...IMO. If Tommy isn't going to run when receivers are covered or the pocket breaks down, is this really that out there? http://espn.go.com/college-football/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/interceptions 2 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
I sooooo hope that a new stat gets recorded next year... Real Ints What other ones could we have? Quote Link to comment
huskers15
Go back and watch the game teachervd. Lot of check downs, lot of throwing to one on one coverage etc. Yes he had some mishaps however, throwing him in there and game planning 55 passes....He really didn't look so bad. So then what you are saying is that Riley (an accomplished QB coach and HC) AND Langs (accomplished OC and coached Eli Manning to his best season ever) are both so bad at seeing talent that they have not noticed that Fyfe is the real dea. Correct? Quote Link to comment

I really don't care if Fyfe plays or not. That being said, if we're going to be critical of a kid that has no PT, I think it is ok to be fair. I dont recall the exact situation but I believe one ball was money and was tipped to Purdue (Reilly Maybe) and I think the other was either a receiver that fell or a route communication. gobiggergoredder
He threw 4 interceptions against Purdue. He had 2 or 3 others that should have been intercepted also. So does #4 every week. Quote Link to comment

Correct? You are getting closer! I can live with that! I agree with you 100% the last staff and this current staff simply can't evalute or develop talent. Quote Link to comment
