Funny thing is that there is a large part of the Bruin fan base who think we'd be better off without Noel Mazzone....They think he's too conservative in his play calling...

Of course, I've always found that to be true of just about every fan base...Everyone thinks their OC is too conservative...

 

With Mazzone, it was a bit scary.,..he actually was at the Team Awards Banquet when, suddenly he wasn't feeling well and was taken to the hospital...I'm glad to see he's back up and around...

No, not really. It's more the of the "throwing the ball 50 times with this QB stable is dumb" variety.

 

 

LOL...gotta love how some folks have to look at things as black and white, when the reality is (more than 50) shades of gray.

 

Again--the problem with our OC isn't that he calls forward passes. It's the type of passes called, the settings/conditions (e.g. weather, gameflow, strategy) he's making the calls in, the frequency/consistency of those play calls, and how our OC doesn't appear to take into account the skillsets of the players involved when he calls those plays.

 

Or, all things that an Offensive Coordinator should concern himself with as part of his duties.

About the 50 number? Yeah, I figured you were exaggerating--I meant to reference the soft core porn house frau pic, not the 50 passes a game line.

 

And I do want to add that Langsdorf could actually fix these things and become a better OC. I'm hoping we'll see in the UCLA game that he's learned something from this season and has grown as an OC.

pretty obvious, Langs and TA have some real work to do in the off season.......really though, Langs should know better with his NFL experience.
