Husker Psycho
This is not about current recruiting...its about history. Bill Callahan's 2005 recruiting class: 2 Five Star ***** players 11 Four Star **** players 12 Three Star *** players Ranked 5th in the nation recruiting class for the year... and included Ndamukong Suh It was Nebraska's highest ranked recruiting class in the last 15 years. Frank Solich's last recruiting class before Callahan was hired... ranked 58th. Callahan might not have been a very good coach ?... but he was a recruiting mastermind. Quote Link to comment

GBRedneck
I love this time of year with the smell of wood burning fireplaces, the sound of Christmas carols, and Husker fans pining for the halcyon days of Callahan! 1 Quote Link to comment
Husker Psycho
I love this time of year with the smell of wood burning fireplaces, the sound of Christmas carols, and Husker fans pining for the halcyon days of Callahan! Well yeah... I think 99.99% of Nebraska fans would want a recruiting class like Callahan's 2005 class for Christmas. More to the point. Those who claim Nebraska can't recruit great players to come here and play, or that it's somehow uniquely difficult to recruit here... are just plain wrong and they've always been wrong. All the people crying that it's "just too hard" to recruit to Nebraska are of course doing what we know they are doing... MAKING EXCUSES... because they don't want to be held accountable for their own poor performance in recruiting. Great recruiting takes coaches-recruiting coordinators who are talented at recruiting. It's just that simple. Quote Link to comment
