StPaulHusker
I like the pitchers we have for this series. I think we should be alright. I don't know if I would predict a sweep but series win is certainly doable. 1 Quote Link to comment
BaytownHusker
I think we go 2-1. We will have a dumb loss no doubt. 2 Quote Link to comment
huskerfan13
I think we go 2-1. We will have a dumb loss no doubt. I kind of agree with you on this. Definitely capable of a sweep and probably *should* sweep a team with a losing record who we are playing at home. But, I think this Illinois team is a little bit better than it's record and they have a pitching staff that can hang with most teams. Their hitting is pretty bad though, near or at the bottom in almost every offensive category in the conference. Pitchers need to not give free passes this weekend especially. I'm thinking all 3 games will be relatively close. We'll probably lose one game by 1 or 2 runs. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan13
With that being said, anything short of a series win is a huge fail, in my opinion. Need to take advantage of this home stretch against less-than-stellar competition. Quote Link to comment
BaytownHusker
I agree, no reason we do not get the series win. I want to make a bold prediction and say we do not give up 4 or more runs in any of the 3 games this weekend. Quote Link to comment
