teachercd
Pats fans showing big V some love: http://www.patspulpit.com/2016/5/3/11576046/2016-nfl-draft-rookie-dt-vincent-valentine-might-be-the-strongest That's a nice write-up on Vincent: I've covered Valentine's explosion and quickness here, as the 6'3 5/8, 329 lbs Valentine offers the best broad jump and 2nd best shuttle time of any 325+ lbs defensive tackle over the past decade. <snip> Here's a video of Valentine cranking out a 745 lbs squat, which is absolutely insane. For comparison, Vince Wilfork apparently had a max squat of 505 lbs when he was coming out of college. Valentine is able to squat 50% more. According to the Patriots weight room records from 2013 courtesy of NESN's Doug Kyed, a 745 lbs squat would set the team record, surpassing offensive lineman Joe Andruzzi's squat of 725 lbs. The team record for a defensive lineman is 685 lbs from Ethan Kelley. Take his lifting records down! Right, Boyd? 1 Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
Not a bad gamble to leave NU early. I know that's not all guaranteed, but a $645K signing bonus certainly doesn't suck. Quote Link to comment
Bowfin
I see Valentine got his first sack in the NFL...not a thing of beauty, since he fell down first, but maybe that makes it a little more impressive? It's the fourth video from the very top: http://nesn.com/2016/09/patriots-cardinals-film-review-new-england-won-pass-rushing-battle/ Quote Link to comment
zoogs
It seems like VV's having a solid time of it up there. WTG, Vince! Quote Link to comment
