Mavric
Career interceptions Record holder: Dana Stephenson, 14 Who can top it: Nate Gerry, 9 What it will take: Gerry would need six picks to break the record Stephenson has held since 1969. Gerry’s career-high in a season is four, which he’s done each of the last two seasons. Career tackles by a defensive back Record holder: Mike Brown, 287 Who can top it: Nate Gerry, 199 What it will take: Gerry would need 89 stops this season to break Brown’s record, which has stood since 1999. Gerry had 88 tackles in 2014 and 79 last year. Brown also holds the record for most stops in a season by a DB with 102 in 1998. OWH Quote Link to comment
84HuskerLaw
Gerry also has a great chance to hold the record for most game ejections for targeting fouls in a career as well. Of course, they may revamp the 'Gerry rule' this year and now declare that making picture perfect form tackles is no longer a 15 yard penalty and one game suspension. LOL 2 Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
You beat me to it 84HuskerLaw. It will be tough to break the tackle record when you get ejected for making a textbook tackle. That will limit Gerry to one tackle per game. Quote Link to comment
drfish
Pardon me if I don't root for him to break the tackles record. I prefer the LB's and DL to make more and the safety's less, thank you very much Quote Link to comment
