pigsonthewing
just got done re-watching the Alamo Bowl. wow my adrenaline is pumping. what does everyone think about the coaching in the Alamo Bowl? i think it is huge. it was the coaching staff's first bowl game for Nebraska. Plus that first bowl turns into a win? oh man that has got to feel good. In retrospect, they should have stuck with the run more. that was obvious to everyone. I think they realized this and really emphasized the run attack this spring. our offensive line was ugly at times, and at other times they looked like the seasoned o-line you need to see for this offense to work. that obviously needs a lot of work. thoughts and opinions? BigRedJake
Well you're definately right about the OL. Though I don't remember them ever looking like a good, seasoned line in that game. Quote Link to comment

Foppa
I thought the o-line was better than a few other regular season games, but that isn't saying a whole lot...they held up when they needed to, I guess. Their performance vs. Michigan should stand for something, and since that is said and done, they should only be better this season. BTW...my buddy in Vegas says that NU is 60-1 to win the Nat'l Championship, in case anyone is interested. Quote Link to comment
Husker IN Hawaii
I think you are right about the run. Porkchop had one of his best days and I am sure that helped us alot. I think that our defense did what it was suppose to do in most aspects ... considering most of our LB core was out with injury. We did the best with what we had at the time. Taylor produced alot considering the type of presure he was under. Good game Nebraska! P.S. 60-1 is not a bad little bet if you wanted to throw ten dollars down on the big red to win the national championship. Weirder things have happened in college football. Its not out of the relm of possibility. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
pigsonthewing
i think the bowl game experience in general is the most important thing for the coaching staff. the bcs bowls, while they arent the superbowl, are still pretty important and hopefully the coaches will have the alamo bowl experience to fall back on.. HSKRNOKC
Well you're definately right about the OL. Though I don't remember them ever looking like a good, seasoned line in that game. I remeber how bad the touted Michigan D line was supposed to completely dominate our O line. Although not great, our o line did enough to win. Quote Link to comment

Golden Nugget has them at 25-1, Caesar's Place had them at 25-1, Hilton had them at 35-1, and the Plaza had them at 75-1. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
That would not be a bad investment at all. I just hope that too many people don't jump on that and make the odds shift before I get my bet in. Quote Link to comment
