MyBloodIsRed16
Looks like he was probably supposed to be moving inside and not just stepping back. 1 Quote Link to comment
Whistlepig
off topic a bit, but I was reading a lot of stories during the summer about our backs being used as relievers, getting them out in "space" on a check down or swing pass - what happened to that? I think Lee's checked down maybe 3-4 times in two games - and I think that was to Wilbon- never to Bryant Quote Link to comment

That was by far the weirdest most wtf moment of the game. When watching it live I thought he didn't have a good grip on the ball and he hesitated accordingly. But nope just didn't throw it right away. Don't think I've ever seen that happen before. Scary thing is with all the miscues and missteps we had in that game we still scored 35 points which should win us most games assuming we don't give up 60 in a half at some point this year. After reading this comment and rematching the play, this makes sense. Lee looks like he hesitated because he looked over and Lindsay wasn't moving inside like he was supposed to. Morgan looks like he is setting up to block the defender as though Lindsay is supposed to move behind him. Probably mark this up as a play that was a learning experience for a true freshman in his second game. Quote Link to comment
