45timesbetterthanemptysuit
Awesome news all around! I would like to see the labor participation rate tick up, but this is fantastic! We’re getting this ship turned around! Edited February 2, 2018 by Enhance Please make your thread titles descriptive and succinct. Thanks. 2 Link to comment
knapplc
This is the chart accompanying the AP article you linked. Please point out the turn around. Surely this isn't yet more yellow journalism from our favorite poster. 1 Link to comment
RedDenver
Americans really need wages to rise, so this is good: Quote The pay gains suggest that employers are increasingly competing for a limited pool of workers. Raises stemming from Republican tax cuts and minimum wage increases in 18 states also likely boosted pay last month. Link to comment
Nebfanatic
Maybe you should do one thread instead of a new one every time you find something new 1 Link to comment

The title from the article would be good: US added strong 200K jobs in January; pay up most in 8 years 1 Link to comment

So many seem to look very hard for the negative. 2 Link to comment

It’s not much yet, and actually a bit depressing that this was a high level mark for the last few years. Frankly I would rather see this go up than the market, so long as the Dollar remains steady or stronger. One of my fears with a stock market making gains is its relationship to the dollar. Tough to be certain if the real value is rising, or the value of the dollar is falling. If the dollar was falling, it must have been bolstered by the economic issues worldwide 1 Link to comment

BigRedBuster
I am very glad the stock market has gone up as much as it has over the last 8 years and that it continues to go up and that unemployment has decreased over that same period and wages are rising.
