At this point, let loose, have fun

There are a ton of issues, too many to address. so let's focus on the next 3 games. There is nothing to lose, there is no more expectations of anything, just go out there and have fun and play. Frost needs to bring what he brought to UCF. I don't know if Frost is trying to do things differently than what he did at Central Florida, thinking Nebraska needs to be different, but I want to see some of what he did at UCF here. Let's just go tempo until we are moving so fast we don't even know what play call we are running. Let's do a little bit of trickery, out of the box play calls. This is a 4-8 team, we need to start playing like a 4-8 team.

Blitz like heck on every play and just get after it. Who cares? You get too aggressive and get burned on an 80 yard TD? Who cares? As opposed to giving up an 80 yard drive TD after 8-10 plays? Guess what, that touchdown is happening be it we give it up after 1 play or after the 9th play of the drive.

There's three games left of this season. Let's just get a little swag back by being creative. We know Frost can do it, he did it at Oregon and UCF, forget the Nebraska brand, it's dead, it needs to be reborn.

This group of Huskers doesn’t know how to play the game that way. They seem to play like they’re in the waiting room of a dentist’s office waiting for tooth drilling to start.

“Frost needs to bring what he brought to UCF.”

That would be talent and a free and fun approach to playing the game. And he could bring along that nicer weather, too.

“... thinking Nebraska needs to be different, but I want to see some of what he did at UCF here.”

The old Husker style of a heavy run game and dominating weaker opponents left the building a long time ago. He’s trying to replace two mindsets - the twenty years of not being a Blue Blood and bringing the Husker offense into the 21st Century. Both monster tasks. And the group of guys he has now are not helping either thing happen.

“Let's just get a little swag back by being creative.”

You have to win to have swagger. You have to be able to execute regular plays before you can be creative. You have to stop turning the ball over and taking penalties. You have to make regular field goals.

Huskers need swagger and to be creative... maybe next year.
