No Octavien, or even McKeon.

welll they cant really say octavien, almost like saying an incoming freshman should be on the list, even though we all know that he is anything but. Mckeon was a pretty big stud last year... I think that we will see a couple huskers on the post season list. The best thing about mckeon was that he seemed to lead my example and his enthusiasm flooded through our D, even after the play was over he would run to the guy who made the tackle to give a congratulatory chest bump and helmet slap

Rey Maualuga didn't even start last year for USC. They are basing him all off of potential. McKeon actually proved something on the field last year.

Yeah, but they're USC. The feel good thing right now. At least that's the gospel according to ESPN. :hmmm

Phil Steele has Corey McKeon as the 3rd best Inside Linebacker in his football preview. Phil Steele as has Bo Rudd as the 11th best Outside Linebacker. He also ranks out Linebackers 4th best unit in the country!

Damn straight, we're gonna have some incredible depth this season.

i don't really take much heed in what these fella's from thosedumb magazines have to say......let's dominate some games and forget about what so and so is saying about us... we're NEBRASKA ...we're ALWAYS the darkhorse..even when we're winning... i've gotten used to the fact that no matter what we will get no love from the media types.. oh well...GBR

Sept. 5, 2006

USC junior linebacker Keith Rivers has been named the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance at Arkansas.

Rivers, an All-American candidate who is on the watch lists for the Butkus and Bednarik Awards, spearheaded the USC defensive effort in the Trojans' 50-14 win at Arkansas. He had a team-high eight tackles, including five solo, and also recovered a fumble on Arkansas' opening series that set up a Trojan touchdown and then forced another fumble. The Trojan defense forced five turnovers and limited Arkansas to 2-of-10 on third-down conversion attempts.

Rivers started all of 2005 when he posted 52 tackles and was an All-Pac-10 honorable mention selection.
