That's too bad.  I remember when Barnett committed to us.  Seemed like he had plenty of potential to be a starter.  I guess that's recruiting for you.   Sometimes things just don't pan out like you expect them to.

Eh, he was highly-rated which caused some to extol Riley's recruiting.  But it never seemed right that pretty much all the other big schools that were after him had backed off.  

 

The concussions are a handy "excuse" (not saying that's not a real reason) but he was never going to be in the mix.

Best of luck to the young man, it's better to have your health and a degree than to risk brain damage down the line and potentially die.  Smart move on his part.
