  1. ... Are you 5? This is a great thread and I really enjoyed the orignal post, but your response to criticism is laughably immature. Your point values are most certainly not objective.
  2. Ganz didn't make it in the NFL, so why are you using him as a measuring stick? He threw his fair share of picks too. Tommy is a better runner than Ganz. Heck, Tommy is a better runner than Tim Tebow. And Tommy has more arm strength than Ganz. He just doesn't have Ganz' accuracy, and knack for avoiding interceptions. That's why I picked Ganz. (I thought about using Vince Ferragamo--but Ganz is more recent.) Armstrong next year would have to have 1,750 rushing yards and 42 rushing TDs to equal what Tebow did running wise. Right, because Tebow and Tommy ran extremely similar offenses throughout their career. Lol
  3. Tommy has a cannon for an arm, very strong runner, though he prefers to pass first. A bit wild with the accuracy, but it's more of a lack of a consistency rather than being completely unable to do it. He was dropping dimes in the first 25 minutes of the Rutgers game. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Tommy gets drafted in the 6th or 7th round, especially if he's able to push that accuracy to a slightly more consistent level. One problem he will forever have is he's a bit short for an NFL QB. If he had 2 or 3 more inches on him I'd almost guarantee he gets drafted late.
  4. What????? The exact same logic applies to rushing. A positive gain. A neutral gain or a loss. A fumble. 2 out of 3 are bad. Damn you guys are crazy.
  5. Of course it's a coincidence. What else could it be...?
  6. You do know Bo went 10-2 multiple times, right? Yep, and the team got embarrassed in their last 2 games in each of those seasons...
  7. Your string of nonstop posts in this topic really put things in perspective for me. How miserable can one person be... It's a message board. You don't like it, don't read my posts. I just happened to be listening to the press conference as I typed, as others were here. On the contrary, I loved your posts.
  8. Not to bring up 'that' argument... And while I'm aware Tommy still has another year left... to me, Tommy shouldn't be in the conversation with Taylor. Taylor is one of the best QB's to ever play at Nebraska (certainly in the top 10 - I'd put him right outside the top 5). He was the spark of 2010, and won Nebraska about 5 games in 2012. No, he's not Crouch or Frost or Tommie or Gill or Tagge, in part because Taylor's teams were mediocre at best (besides 2010). But Taylor is right behind them. He's at the top of that group of either very good QB's who just didn't quite have enough themselves to carry a decent team to championships or good QB's who had great teams (this group includes guys like Zac and Steve Taylor, Humm, etc.). Armstrong is just another Nebraska QB to me. A guy with some talent, who had some flashes, but nothing to be overly excited about. He's got the up/down quality of Taylor, but his highs don't even come close to touching Taylor's.
  9. Please remind me which games we've lost this season due to being the lesser talented team? We all love throwing this "talent" word around. Which teams are making plays and which aren't? I don't give a sh#t how talented any of our guys claim to be, if you ain't making plays who gives a sh#t. Your talent isn't doing anybody any good. This I totally agree with. What 'talent' do we have exactly? Who on the field is just oozing talent throughout a game? I can name maybe, at most, 5 players who I would say have more than average talent (and even that might be generous). We are mediocre all over the field, and this includes the sideline.
  10. Burning a redshirt on a RB is not a big deal at all. Not much of a difference between a 4th or a 5th year senior at that position. And if he's as good as advertised, he's leaving after his junior year no matter what.
  11. LMAO maybe my favorite post in internet history. Amazing.
  12. LOL the overreactions to the game are hilarious. Last week "i really like what langsdorf has done, great hire!" "fire riley, at the very least fire langsdorf and get someone competent in the position!"
  13. what an accomplishment that would be better give Banker a raise nowCutethanks your not to bad yourself niece gramer
  14. Don't forget they are currently beating Ball St 7-3 with a couple minutes left in the 2nd Q. But no! Of course! Only Nebraska has problems with teams they should beat! Nebraska isn't a very good team, but neither is anyone in the West. Someone has to win it, and Nebraska has the players to do it. Especially once we get DPE, VV, and Bando back. Every other team gets to make excuses based on their injuries (Wiscy, Minnie) and so do we. DPE instantly makes our team 3-6 points better. So does having the core of our defense ready. So does not having half the team have the flu.
  15. I learned Nebraska won and fans overreact. Wait, I've known that for about 15 years. Nevermind. Anyway, lots of good. Lots and lots of bad. Let's see what happens next week, as a new season starts then (the big ten one).
  16. Carter is playing because he is an excellent blocker.
  17. I'll never understand the sentiment, expressed in that article, that NU under Pelini would've 'folded' in the 3rd-4th Q against Miami this weekend. Hell, we called them the 'Cardiac Cornhuskers' (or at least, some writers did). We have Ohio St (biggest comeback in school history), Penn St 2011, Wiscy, NW, Mich St, Penn St 2012 (all 4 of these comebacks were incredible), NW (hail mary), Mich (great final drive led by Tommy), Penn St, Georgia 2013, Iowa 2014 (and almost Mich St 2014, if not for a dropped catch by Zo). Just in the last 4 years of Pelini's tenure, there were /eleven/ comeback victories. And in almost all of them, the game looked hopeless (the only 3 where had a chance the whole way was NW, Georgia, and Penn St 2013). Pelini's teams often gave up (I don't need to list those games, they are engraved in our collective memory forever) but to act like they always folded when the going got tough is INSANE. We were the comeback kids for years. By the way, I am a big Riley fan and think he will do great things at Nebraska. But let's not revise history to fit a narrative.
  18. Sounds about right. Help me fill this in. MRI: 0 - BYU, 4 - USA, 3 - Miami Young: 4 - 4 - 4? Banderas: ? - BYU, 0? - USA, ? - Miami (he's been dealing with groin as well; may continue) Young did not play against USA.
  19. The schemes are vastly different. You can't compare a dude's coverage from last year to this year because they simply aren't playing the same defense. Davie might be a good player in some schemes - but he certainly looks awful in this scheme.
  20. Wait, how are these different? How do you define 'good' besides 'playing well'? Am I missing something?
  21. Today I learned names are not words. Mindblowing
  22. We're playing south alabama... Good half. But we have better players at every position. We are doing what we should do tonight.
