If I have never mowed a lawn before, and paid someone to mow my lawn, would I not know what a good vs bad mowed lawn looks like? I don't have to be an expert in a certain trade/field to differentiate quality.
I think any sane fan agrees with this. But he wasn't guaranteed to get drafted (or contract.) Better off getting his degree, and working on some of his deficiencies to improve his draft stock.

School is above sports. They can transfer and still earn a degree on time. Your idea hurts schools like Nebraska that aren't close to high population densities. A minor league system sounds up your alley.
