  1. I think Taylor showed in the last half of the season (to me at least) that he could be good enough to take this team to a national title. I don't think he lost us a single game the entire season. In fact, the only game that he played BAD in was against Wisconsin. Otherwise, Taylor's performance was more than satisfactory to me, and I was actually surprised with how much he grew as a true QB this year. To me, QB and RB are the two positions that are 100% stable, along with possibly TE. I am very optimistic heading into next year, as long as we find the right pieces at all 3 levels on defense.
  2. I think we will be just fine. With a few recruits set to announce their commitments tomorrow (not sure who, so don't ask me), I think we get 2 or 3 commits in the next week and finish out strong. I'm one of the few people on here that thinks that this game was not lost because of coaching. Our players just made big mistakes in key situations. No resiliency. Hopefully that changes next year.
  3. Maybe you shouldn't come into the forums and read the "Meltdown" page if you don't want to see or hear them. It was your choice to come in and read them, so blame yourself for not using any common sense. Well voicing negative opinions will not make anything get better. It will likely have zero effect on the team, but if it happens to have an effect, it will be negative. That's all I'm saying.
  4. EXACTLY!!! Thank you for the perspective. We definitely lack the resilience that we need in order to be competitive in big games, and I think it will come with time. This year, our leaders were more the quiet, lead-by-example type of guys, and in tough moments, you need a vocal leader to bring the team along.
  5. I just think everybody needs to take a chill pill and quit with the negative thoughts. I'm tired of hearing them, and in no way does it make things improve... ever. Just keep the faith in Bo and the rest of the team. We will be just fine.
  6. I have a suggestion to fix this team: Everybody who has negative thoughts about the team or Bo or whatever need to shut their mouths. We will be just fine.
  7. Fire Bo? Good God, people. This game is not the end of the world, nor is this season. If you are going to threaten suicide after a 9-win season in a new conference with a couple of quality wins (MSU, PSU, OSU) then you are being totally irrational. Granted, this second half was not anywhere close to the level that we need to perform but in the 1st half minus the last 6 seconds was a pretty solid performance on both sides of the ball. No need to jump to extreme measures. Just take a chill pill and relax...
  8. You can just feel that this game might come down to one big scoring play. Hopefully we can be the ones to make that play.
  9. Aside from turnovers and one or two busted plays by our defense, we are dominating this game everywhere but the scoreboard. And after that last drive, we need to stay more disciplined and finish drives and put the ball into the endzone. Maher just isn't quite the gamer that Alex Henery was.
  10. From what I hear, the C1B is blocking radio streaming for this game. Correct. You can stream ESPN radio if you want to listen to the game. Our radio announcers can't do the play-by-play on this one.
  11. I think it was McKewon that said first to 21 points wins. I think the magic number will be 15. Here's to a physical, defensive matchup. GBR!!
  12. haha sorry Comish, I was just having fun with it.
  13. You know who else Jordan Westerkamp reminds me of? Wes Welker, Dallas Clark, Danny Woodhead, Russ Hochstein, and Brian Urlacher... just to name a few...
  14. Nebraska ranks 1st in every defensive category imaginable, and the offense is amazing as well. Nebraska's success causes all starters to go to the draft, and 17 of them get drafted in the 1st round, with T-Mart going #1 overall. How's that for bold?
  15. I would love to see Iowa finish this comeback and win this game. It would be a huge victory for the B1G.
  16. From what I have seen from this game, there is one single part of Iowa's team that has played consistently well all game so far: The defensive line. Can't wait to see the results Coach Kaz can pull out of the D-Linemen at Nebraska.
  17. HAHA! Look at that throwing motion. He and Taylor should hang out.
  18. thank you once again for the pessimism. Cotton, quit posting and get back to scheming! Not real sure what you mean, but based on your posting history, I will decline to come back at anything that you say...

  20. Don't think so....the year we went down there and beat them RGIII was hurt and didnt play No, it was in 2008 that Baylor came to town. I was at that game, and every time Baylor got on offense, we thought they would take it to the house in 1 play. But we ended up winning.
  21. Please the Mavericks are older than dirt now. all they did was get players that weren't that good or past their prime. No, dallas won the championship last year because Lebron wasn't taking it to the basket like he did the first game. and then they lost all those players that won them that championship cause they didn't want to give them multi-year contracts. Sorry buddy unless they gel quickly their championship will be a fluke. This post doesn't even dignify a response. No one really gave a sh#t that Dallas won the NBA Championship. That's why after the finals were over most talked about the Heat more than the Mavs. The Mavs won because Dirk was Mr. Clutch and dominated anybody that the Heat put on him. And Tyson Chandler was the leader of their defense that did pretty well. I guess Jason Terry wasn't too bad either. And as always, Lebron is a choke artist and a diva. And with this, I share with you my new favorite commercial of all time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayVgMpQnG_E
  22. I agree with you, and I think from the games against the best D-Lines we have faced this year, we should be encouraged. Vs. MSU, we were told all week that their D-Line was too big, too fast, too good. I don't think it is a stretch to say that we ran over them. Then against PSU, Devon Still really is one of the best DT's in the country, and he was disruptive a couple of times, but overall, we moved the ball very well against a really good PSU D-Line. I'm taking the wait-and -see approach on this one.
