  1. Enough of this poor officiating crap. Wisconsin has a really powerful offense with a really good QB who adds another dimension to it. Good luck to the Badgers the rest of the season, and hopefully we can teach our QB how to read coverages and also find the answers we are looking for on defense. The reffing looked good compared to what we are used to, probably extremely fair at that. Like Bo keeps saying, this is the point we were at in the beginning of his first season here, and by the end of that season, our D was pretty respectable. Don't panic after one loss, no matter how horrible of a loss it was. GBR!!!
  2. I usually don't mind Herbstreit or Musberger, but Saturday vs. Wisconsin I was so annoyed that I put my TV on mute.
  3. I think we lost because our players didn't wear black uni's...
  4. I doubt the big red is used as the next terrorist weapon...
  5. Dental Admission Test? Dental Admission Test? "I don't have a girlfriend" test You guys are a-holes! http://www.omaha.com...IGRED/709299723 I LOVED this article!!! Can't wait for this game vs. Wisconsin and can't wait for the years to come!
  6. The one and only key to a Nebraska victory over Wisconsin (and any game for that matter): 1. To score more points than the other team.
  7. I can't say I blame them. Defenses in the B1G have always been pretty stout, but when you have teams like Penn State almost losing to Temple because their offense is awful, and a team like Iowa that lost to Iowa State, a team that will go 7-5 or worse this year in the Big 12, it doesn't help from a national perspective. It also doesn't help that co-champion Michigan State got absolutely obliterated by Bama in their bowl game last year. It's time for the B1G to follow the footsteps of Ohio State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin (also soon to be Michigan) and recruit athletes that will make big-time plays on the field. The B1G is the most prestigious conference in the NCAA, but when it comes to football, most everybody is stuck in the 1960s.
  8. I say just let the game do the talking. I hope the Huskers win, but I definitely think that Wisconsin will be tough to beat for my Huskers the way that we are playing so far this season. I hope they turn it on and pull the "upset" but if not, all respect to Wisconsin. If you guys win, I hope you hit the NC game and whoop some SEC a$s
  9. I know that I have voiced my opinion clearly about this weeks match up. But I definetely will not argue that we shouldn't be the underdogs. Wisconsin, while playing an easy schedule, has looked nothing short of stout...while we clearly have shown issues. I am just confident in our players, and most of all, our coaches to get their stuff together. If Nebraska wins, I'll be ecstatic. If Wisconsin wins, I wont be suprised at all. I just expect nothing short of a great game. Just watching some highlights from last year, T-Mart definitely plays best on the road. He just has such a fire when he plays road games... Watching a few big plays from the Washington game last year, I forgot how loud that stadium was. His first road game as starting QB and he tore it up! Let's see what happens, I'm interested. Saturday, Oct 1st cannot come soon enough!!!!
  10. Football is about more than just stats. Unlike most people on this board, I think the Dline has done fairly well this year. As The Dude said above, if we clean up our play in the secondary and start blanketing WR's, I think you would be surprised how dominant our Dline is.
  11. Overrated: Martinez I know he has gotten better at running the offense, but he has minimal cutting ability when he runs, a horendous throwing motion, and subpar pocket presence. Not to mention he puts the ball on the ground wayyyy too much. I still like him and root for him, I just don't see him as a great player like the national media. I think Burkhead has a more legitimate shot at the heisman than Martinez Underrated: Jason Ankrah I really have been impressed with how he has played so far this season. I got pretty used to watching Pierre Allen getting blown off the ball, but this year we have Ankrah holdin down the left side of the line. Love the guy!
  12. OL Rob Havenstein Francis Buxton from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure:
  13. Pitchfork is decent, and so is the big corn cob. But Im with you guys, none of em are fitting...
  14. If they do go with another jersey, which I don't believe they will, I think the way to go would be red pants, black shirts, an a black helmet like that one 2 posts up. Freakin SWEET!!!
  15. with that said, sh#t happens and they still had a chance to win it in OT. Don't get me wrong, I agree with u, just sayin...
  16. Yep if only they had black uniforms........ Nah, not till next game. This game, they would blend in too much with the Mr. Hankey outfits that WYO will be wearing
  17. I agree with most of what you say there. As far as arrogance goes, I honestly feel that in order to be great to you need to be arrogant to an extent. You need to have the mentality that you're going to do what you want and the other team can't stop you, and you need to have the mentality that you're better than the next team. I think you'll be hard-pressed, for example, to find any truly great player that does not have some degree of arrogance. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Chris Johnson, etc., are all arrogant to a degree, but they also sometimes know when to be humbling. It's why I have a tough time blaming an fan base from an AQ school (especially an upper-AQ school) from being arrogant. Nebraska hasn't done enough in the last 10 years to be overtly arrogant, but given our history, can anybody really blame us? This post is why people hate Nebraska fans. Are some NU fans arrogant? yes. Just like a small minority of fans of any sports team, college or pro. You want arrogant fans? Look at Texas. I attended a CWS game a couple years ago when Texas won, and I was so annoyed with Longhorn arrogance, I couldn't stand it... I would say Nebraska fans have a pretty undeserved rep in this sense. I think a more appropriate description of Husker fans is proud.
  18. so far in the season, who do you put as tops in the heisman race? Mine goes like this: 1. Justin Blackmon 2. Andrew Luck 3. Kellen Moore 4. Marcus Lattimore 5. Russell Wilson/Robert Griffin III
