  1. So I guess you didn't watch the last half of last season, the bowl game, and the first 7 games of this season. They went 10-2 till this week since the Purdue loss, that was probably more crushing defeat than last night was for the team.
  2. I am 49 years old so I have seen the highs and lows of this program. I scream and yell when I think things are going right or going wrong. What i don't do is pretend to know better then someone that has been in the coaching business for more than 30 years. I can remember all the preseason chatter and NOBODY thought we could win this game. I would say 90% of this board felt we would lose to Wiscy and OSU. In fact, most of this board thought we would also lose to NW and Minn. So again, it is only the second loss of the season, wait until it is all played out before you whine and cry about your PTSD!!!
  3. This "SKY is Falling" BS is getting old from this board. All you guys do is whine about how bad the coaching is and how bad the guys played. Did any of you actually play the game or are you just keyboard warriors. We don't have the same talent as OSU, Bama, or Michigan, thats the facts. We can get there, but we are behind by 10+ years. Our depth isn't where it needs to be yet. Those teams have 4*'s waiting to play behind their 5*'s. We have 3-4*'s starting with Walk-ons behind them. This is the right staff that we need right now. Get over yourself and start acting like true fan. Fans suffering from PTSD, are f'ing kidding me???
  4. If TA is not able to go against Minnie this weekend, do we really want to put Fyfe in again?? TA was knocked out so I can't believe he will be playing. He has to at least go through the Concession Protocol. It might be time to pull the Redshirt off POB and see what the future offers with the young kid. I am not saying we should do it, but Fyfe is so ineffective that it has to be considered. It would suck for both POB and the Huskers to pull it this late in the season, but we do have to think about tomorrow not just today.
  5. Why is it that everyone expected us to lose this game at the begining of the season. Now that we are, the staff needs to be fired. Are you kidding me???
  6. It just is amazing how our DLine can never get the holding call.
  7. Everyone expected us to lose at least 2 games. Good god!! The sky is falling.
  8. Wyoming knocked off Boise, so they are not hurting us. If NW can beat Wiscy next week then it does not matter if we beat OSU. If we win out after OSU we go to INDY!! So we have to be NW fans for at least one day.
  9. So when we go to Madison and win ugly on Saturday, then what will the "na sayer's" have to say. The same people complaining that we dont belong are the same people that were whining about our losses and MR last year. OSU got beat by PSU, get over the "we don't belong" position. We are winning and that is all that counts.
  10. TA was limited on what he could do from the mobility stand point. However, the passing issues were just TA being TA. There is another thread started by MAV showing the first possession of the game. In one of the pics it shows TA throwing deep with his feet side by side. That is not an ankle injury issue, that is poor mechanics. As the game went on, maybe the ankle effected his throwing but not to the degree that he would have had a great day passing versus the bad day he had. They got away from the easy throws and that was the problem. Indiana was stacking the box and Langs was trying to back them off. TA just couldn't make the throws. The best catch of the year by Rielly, shows how bad it was going to be Saturday. That should have been picked cleanly in the air. The cornerback would say that himself. The pass was way under thrown. As for resting TA just to get him to next week, we tried that last year and we got beat. I say rest TA all week as a fifth year senior he should need the work. Give Fyfe the work with the #1 offense, then start TA to see how effective he can be and if he isn't then send in Fyfe.
  11. I watch some of the IU and OSU game last weekend. IU couldn't stop the read option or the QB draw to save their lives. With that said, since TA is banged up do we really want to do much of the QB Draw? They made OSU run the ball, they shut down their passing game and that hurt them. However, I never thought that IU was ever in the game as a serious threat to win. Their running attack is no joke and we had better be ready for it. I think we win, just like the NW and ILL game, we pull away late.
  12. This argument is getting so old. As a Veteran that served 12 years in USAF, and as someone that has presented the flag because their loved one gave the ultimate sacrifice, everyone has the RIGHT to kneel, sit, ignore the playing of the national anthem. They are don't disrespecting my service or anyone else's. They are exercising the rights I severed to protect. The protest are supposed to spawn discussion about the oppression issue, not the kneeling or sitting issue. I am a 40+ year old, white male. So I have no idea what it is like to grow up in this country black. What I can say is that I have never seen outright discrimination anywhere that I have lived. Subtile discrimination I have seen and I have seen it going both ways. It is not just a "white mans" crime.
  13. I don't blame the Ref's on the field. They are throwing the flags for safety reasons. The PSU play was a bang bang play. However, it is the replay official that drives me nuts. The PSU play was the worst call ever. The player was CLEARLY going for the ball. They need to fix this because it is costing players time. He was lucky it happened in the 1st half, because if not, he would have to sit out another game, if I recall correctly.
  14. I liked the uni's this week. I agree that that is was difficult to see the names. However, that didn't bother me one bit. I don't need to know their name to cheer for them.
  15. I like that stat a lot. I would have liked to see us recruiting more mobile QBs, but if we demonstrate a true commitment to the run game, I'll be happy. Will be interesting to see if this is a stop gap until Langs and Riley can move back to what they have stated is their preferred type of O or if they stay with this going forward. Biggest unanswered question is "what is our identity?" Although I don't think we'll win many, if any, championships with a wisconsin or Stanford approach to O, I think we'll win a lot more than if we try to be a true WCO system. What the hell are you talking about here? They have said from day 1 that they want to be balanced. Last year they were like 51/49 run/pass ratio. That was up 1% from 2014. This year they are 62/38 run/pass ratio. They want to be balanced!!! Get over it, "run the damn ball guy", they are running the damn ball.
  16. I really don't think they will let NW ruin what may be a very special season. Call me stupid, but all the emotion that we seen on the field and sidelines during the Foltz tribute. No way they let an inferior team beat them this year. They all live and breath S27F!!! We will be in Indy this year with a rematch against OSU!! I believe it in my bones and so do the Boys of Fall!!! There is a magic feeling around this season, not saying they will be the National Champions, but there wont be an let downs. GBR!!!
  17. Winning the game is the only stat that matters in this game.
  18. 90,000 fans? I think there is a lot more than that behind them every game day!!! BIG RED NATION numbers in the MILLIONS!!!!
  19. That was nice, then it rips out your heart.
  20. This is the problem with the whole "protecting the player" concept. If they would just come out as say what they were suspended for, then all the BS speculation would end. Who really cares why, he messed up and has to miss a game. Bad news for one of your leaders on the team.
  21. It does carry weight. You must be someone that never made a mistake in his life. Must be nice to live in a glass house.
  22. As someone that has suffered "severe" consequences for a "DUI". Lost my military career (12 years) over 1 DUI, I think they did what was right. Nobody wants to talk about the time frame between offenses. NO PLAYER could have 3 DUI's in the same time frame as Williams. If you listen real close to what MR says, "if the circumstance were the same, the player would still be on the team". If we have a player still on the team after 8 years, thats not a good player. 3 DUI's in 4 years is TOTALLY different that 3 in 12 years. There was a caller on 1620 this morning that was implying that he has been driving drunk more often then just Sunday. He just happened to get caught this time. What proof does that caller have to prove that, none. Really, how many people text, eat, call, do their makeup, etc., while driving. Distracted driving is distracted driving. It was 8 years ago since his last DUI!! When did we become a society that does not believe in forgiveness. I can say with complete and total confidence. If his last DUI was 1 or 2 years ago, he would be gone. Period end of story. The high horse position I have heard from some Husker fans is so full of BS it makes me sick. Just to give you something to chew on, 1 Drink would make anyone a DWI candidate and 2 would get you a DUI. How many of you climb in your car and drive home after 1 drink??
