Our tight ends...have a suspicion they've been heavily game planned into today's game. Me ... about to go fix the downstairs toilet, then whacking cutting off most of the seasonal plants in the yard, clearing out a space for the new snowblower arriving Monday, lunch @ chic-fil-a, the HUSKERS on the tube and a company party after the game. Big day for me for sure.

If Adams doesn't warrant a personal foul, that sure does. and there you have it......the pic that settles it. You're right. It does. The DB is playing the ball. There was incidental contact. No flag should be thrown on this play. If this call was warranted, then so were all the other PI calls against Husker DBs this game. I bet you'd argue the opposite way on those calls though. The call doesn't have to be right to validate our victory is what you don't seem to understand. It happened. The game is over and we won. Let's reverse this logic....."If all the other PI calls against Husker DBs this game were warranted, then so was this one". See how that works? Truth is, none of them should have been called...but they were all called..and pretty consistently according to what-ever criteria the refs chose to follow that day. So how we argue doesn't matter. As it stands, I feel OK about this call....it was in line with the others that were called. If this was the only "iffy" PI call, then I'd be down right ecstatic because then we'd have "gotten a break"....something that hardly ever happens to the Huskers.

If I keep saying and believing this it has to happen sooner or later, right? Nebraska finally plays a very good game with a favorable turn-over ratio and minimum penalties and stoopid plays. Nebraska wins by 17+ and only because we allow them to score late in the game after it is already over.

My goodness...as much of a sunshine pumper as I am...and I pumped a bit on this thread just the other day....watching them (Oregon) tonight just makes me a little bit sick in the stomach thinking about a game against them. Bottom line though...I still would like to see it. A "nothing to lose / everything to win" game for us and "defining loss / well they should have won" game for them.

So comforting to know our fans aren't the only ones that go into meltdown mode. Visited a couple sites, pretty typical stuff. No credit to "those cow turds from Nebraska" at all. Lots of folks want the D coach fired. Several want the head coach fired. Johnny Adams is an idiot. Their student section was almost vacant and all students should lose their tickets. Same old Sparty team of the 70s, 80s and 90s...imploding competely despite great expectations. And of course..."the ref's gave away the game". Although they sound more defeated than the HB crowd. We get pretty danged angry and fired up, but I don't sense the "all is lost forever" feeling here like I felt on those boards. It's a great day to be a HUSKER FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
