  1. I'd rather we get 4 stars from somewhere else in the country than two or three stars from Florida. Agreed. +1
  2. With Bailey gone we really need to push this guy...
  3. With Starling choosing baseball and Turner now pretty much locked in at being a WR we technically didn't take a QB in the 2011 class. We took one (Armstrong) in 2012 but lost Green to transfer. I'd be shocked if we didn't take two QB's in this class. Gotcha, thanks!
  4. Offered a QB out of Louisiana today named Damian Williams....that mean Bailey maybe isn't as good of a chance as we thought?
  5. Seems like lots of recruits have been saying Bo has made it really comfortable for them to be there, which sounds like exactly what this guy is looking for.
  6. Title says it all. Who are the guys we have a legitimate shot a getting a verbal from this weekend or early into next week because of the spring game?
  7. I noticed that Taylor has the highest completion % of the top 3 quarterbacks.
  8. Hey its the offseason! I am just looking for any new info! Give me a break haha
  9. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/11/sports/ncaafootball/arkansas-fires-coach-bobby-petrino.html?_r=1 Seems very doubtful to me, I do not think Arky is a better destination than here.
  10. Wait, you want Rex lead blocking for Marrow? I think that has about no chance of happening. But I do like the idea of the stacked I formation, but either Marrow as a blocking back for Rex, or another big blocker (like SUH in the Duckie) for Marrow. Rex should never be used as a a lead blocker except to run the ball or for play action purposes. I would love to watch a 1st or 2nd or 3rd and goal at the 3 and see them pull out the big uglies and just pound a team into the turf for a TD. My hope is we never see a 4th and goal with the quality backs we have. More ideal would be CJ (guy that is fighting with Marrow for the FB role) and Ben leading the way for Marrow. That is some power!
  11. I think Marlowe is a pretty good slot guy, him and Taylor really seemed to start clicking at the end of the year. I like this article, just a change up interesting kind of thing.
  12. I saw this team quit a couple times last year. He's the leader of the offense, and sets the tone in the huddle. I don't think they would have quit if the above was entirely true. It's not all on Taylor, this is a team sport - and IMO a lot of this falls on the coaches. But, I do think Taylor gets down on himself and loses confidence or whatever - and it impacts his play and his effort. Just an observation. When did our team quit last year? They got their butts kicked against Wisconsin, Michigan, and South Carolina, but I never felt like they quit. I've seen Taylor and others play worse than they're capable of - maybe they lose confidence and play tentatively, or sometimes they'll get frustrated and lose focus - but that's very different from "quitting." If this team was of the kind of character where they would simply "quit," when they got down, they wouldn't have made the biggest comeback in school history. Responding to adversity is definitely an issue, but I'm confident our team is not going to simply "quit." The only time I saw quit was from the online at the end of the South Carolina game....I believe it was the last series, Taylor and everyone else was still trying to make plays but the online gave up 3 straight sacks. Those three plays the online had seemed to quit. But maybe I am the only one who thought that.
  13. it's a team sport, no doubt about it..... and Rex is the only one i can think of that brought his A game consistently through out the season.... Exactly, and even Rex struggled once in a while. Fresno St. for example, 15 carries 55 yards or Northwestern 22 carries for 65 yards.
  14. It's a nice thought, but he is doing it because he has legit interest in other schools. I do think he will end up as a Husker, but he is enjoying his process. Never thought of that...if he gets those big name offers it would be pretty cool to see him go on TV NSD and pick us....
  15. Little thing I noticed...Abdullah is running with the 1's in highlights. I know Rex is the #1 but I wonder if Abdullah has established himself as #2 or its just happened to be that way.
  16. Not as worried about this one (knock on wood)...not the "type" of QB that beats Bo's defense.
  17. Shoot! I missed it....was looking forward to it all day...
  18. I wouldn't say that the coach is a no name. He has worked with Cam Newton and Jake Locker. But regardless it is good to see TM putting in the time.
  19. Just read this article, the boys seem to be bursting with confidence. Hopefully they are right, some big expectations being built by themselves...
  20. http://www.omaha.com/article/20120319/BIGRED/703199891 I like his mentality
  21. Does it seem to anyone else that this year we are offering a lot of bigger names, and also seem to be in the running for some of the bigger names? Maybe its just wishful thinking on my behalf but it sure seems like it to me....
