  1. 4 losses ... the Solich Curse lives on The losses include all post season games
  2. The good news is it is easily correctable. We have athletes, coaching, facilities, supporting administration, and a supporting fan base.
  3. It would be nice to play everyone that is dressed. I miss those days.
  4. I bet Farniok gets some reps in the first game. With Jurgens injury history, we need a backup with some game experience. We cannot afford bad snaps against quality opponents. Even if we don't lose the ball, the timing on the play is disrupted.
  5. Yep, and how are we supposed to make teams "feel" the physicality of playing against Nebraska if we can't hit? The OL hitting 2nd level players, the WRs not giving up on blocks, and even the QB laying someone out, these are what made past Husker opponents give up.
  6. Then we have soccer, and coaches teaching players how to flop
  7. I cringe when I think of refs judging a players field of vision
  8. It was also said about Daniels last season. I am hoping with better conditioning, along with Green and the Okie State transfer, our D line can dominate.
  9. No More Blindside Blocks Arguably the biggest change of the offseason is the elimination of the blind-side block. Any block deemed to be of the blind-side variety will be a 15-yard-penalty. Expect to see plenty of controversy about this rule as referees prioritize this change early in the season. The NCAA defines a blindside block as: “An open-field block against an opponent that is initiated from outside the opponent’s field of vision, or otherwise in such a manner the opponent cannot reasonably defend himself.” Here is the text from https://247sports.com/Article/College-football-rule-changes-2019-explaining-targeting-blindside-blocks-134676086/
  10. We better not have a mirror season: start 6-0 and finish 2-4
  11. In an effort to move CFB closer to flag football, there is a new rule against blind blocks this year. You cannot hit anyone with force if they are not looking at the defender. I guess no block in the back was not good enough. Can you imagine how many bad flags this creates? I want less decision making by the refs, not more.
  12. This is very good news. On the other side of the ball, there has been quite a bit of talk about our NT getting gassed after 2 or 3 plays. Could this be why we were so bad on 3rd down last year?
  13. ... far better than the last four.
  14. I think this results in a West title
  15. I really like the bones patch on the sleeve this year, but there needs to be some more red.
  16. Washington looks bigger in the lower body this year. One of the coaches mentioned that he is faster. He could have a break out year. I am having a terrible time resisting all the jokes that could be related to "break out"
  17. Nine wins is success this year. We have to get back to Bo's standard. A great season would be 3 or fewer losses. We haven't done that since Frankie, when a stupid AD refused to let the Huskers slide into mediocrity. He was right, he shoved the Huskers into mediocrity.
  18. Weed makes you mellow, so players are less likely to yell at others in the parking lot. Perhaps SE should have required Bo to smoke a little weed before games?
  19. The Colorado coaching staff is probably paying someone to send weed legal in Colorado across the boarder. If they keep it up, half the team will be under the man's thumb before the Colorado game.
  20. "Don't smoke weed when you are high. You don't get any higher, just lower on weed." Gallagher
  21. I have a few questions. How rich is the Lincoln weed dealer? Why are the players letting authorities search their rooms, are there any privacy rights in the dorms? Is the person ratting out the players a Wisconsin spy, an Iowa spy, a MR holdover, or a SE plant?
  22. In 2003 Tampa killed Oakland in the super bowl. The Tampa players said they knew what plays and what routes would be fun, and couldn't believe Callahan didn't change any plays. I am sure Gruden knew the raider's playbook better than Thomas knows the Huskers, but he will provide something.
  23. Ignore them Law, Thank you for taking the time to write posts that make us think.
