  1. Our line fairs so much better when we get then moving, pulling stretch blocking and so on… hat on a hat. Not so much.
  2. Should be 26-21 we don’t go for it on 4th down in the red zone there if we make the first 2 field goals
  3. Man crazy how a kicker with a pulse would make this a 21-19 game right now
  4. Yup, If we get this AM the rest of the year, we’ll win a few more games
  5. Take a shot at the end zone. Don’t force anything. Worse case scenario it’s 3rd and 1. That’s twice now we’ve been 2nd and 1 and went backwards on a run play
  6. I’m guessing OSU came out in the defensive front they Minny prepared for though so they helps right? lol
  7. I guess the thought process there, is that his offense was good and the players were good enough that when Pelini took over the defense was dominate with Callahans players. My biggest point is that I believe Callahans staff was far less of a wreck than this one. On the other hand. If it weren’t for all the bone headed self inflicted wounds the script would look dramatically different. I don’t know if there is any one coach that can fix them.
  8. Not saying I disagree entirely but I feel like there are way more issues than even what Callahan had. Callahan was an offensive guy, had good players, a good offense, I was young so I don’t entirely remember, but it feels like the Special teams weren’t a total disaster. Callahans teams were a good D coordinator away from being borderline dominate. Frost is almost the polar opposite. Still an offensive guy but, The D coordinator seems to be holding up his end of the job and everything else is a disaster. My point is, I think the staff would have to go through a way bigger overhaul than what Callahan needed to do. However I think the staff would probably be alright if we would just stop inflicting so much pain on ourselves. Absolute back breaking mistakes. I’m done ranting
  9. I’ll pass on another former Husker QB lol
  10. What message board if there’s are you looking at, the ones I’ve looked for are either garbage or one you have to pay to see.
  11. Not a bad game from the boys honestly. We knew it would be a tall task in Fayetteville. Win tomorrow and give yourself a chance I say
  12. Total BS I may have chucked my hat at the TV whoops
  13. Wow. We sure couldn’t get that called 3rd strike with 2 outs. This dude is trash
  14. Strikes zones have definitely changed. Bigger for them smaller for us
  15. Nail on the head. Nobody is expecting this guy to get you 20/game. But if he can spread the floor and knock down 2-3 wide open looks in a game, he will have done his job.
  16. I guess I missed that, like I said I saw it extremely unlikely anyhow but good to know he’s announced that. What’s the feeling on Thor?
  17. The only other one I could maybe see is walker. Would be real surprised, but he’s the only one who really hasn’t publicly announced his commitment to the program, and he could be a real help to a lot of programs that are a step above nebrasketball. He’s the only one that I would say there’s a sliver of a chance.
  18. Not sure why these 2 aren't being talked about more. They were definitely the worst in my opinion
  19. Yeah I get what you're saying, and if that could be be pulled off I'd give it two thumbs up. However, a creative way of thinking is going to have to be pulling out a diamond in the rough. Herman would be an obvious choice IMO but, Its also the obvious choice for about anyone who has a coordinator position available. I know project coordinators don't usually work out, but that's just kind of where we are now. Lubick is probably as high profile of a name we are capable of getting at this point. Honestly, I would also be surprised if he's actually going anywhere, anyways. So it probably doesn't matter much either way.
  20. I see Herman going to a G5 (UCF probably) or taking an OC at a top tier program (could honestly see him replacing the guy who replaced him)
  21. I think/hope you're right, It just wouldn't make sense for him to leave now that Luke is gone, unless there is a splash transfer in the works.
  22. Just saw on twitter, someone post a link to a HuskerOnline forum that there are grumblings of Smothers dipping his toe in ACC land. Anybody else heard anything about this that actually pulls any weight? what I saw didn't reveal any reliable sources and i'm just hoping its someone trying to troll.
  23. Yeah I predict that he transfers somewhere that "guarantees him a shot at QB" misses his shot and eventually changes positions and excels, rather than transferring to a new school where he can have yet another shot at QB. It would kind of suck to watch that unfold and be left here wondering what could have been, but such is life.
