  4. Steven M. Sipple ‏@HuskerExtraSip 56m56 minutes ago Nebraska scrimmaged a lot of "good on good" last week, Pelini said. Hard to do that during regular weeks. #Huskers
  5. Certainly shook things up a couple weeks earlier than I thought. Last year by week 10 we had 6 undefeated teams left (with a couple of other long shots). There were about a dozen in week 8 though. The year before that there were basically 5 at the top in week 8. This year in week 8 we've got 5. Most years it's 5-8ish with other teams like Marshal this year hanging at the bottom with no real shot at the playoff. So I'd say we're about par for the course right now. This stuff plays itself out every year between weeks 8 and 11. It'll get whittled down to 1, maybe 2 undefeated teams and a half dozen or so deserving 1 loss teams. Happens every year. You've got to go back a long ways (I quit after 2009) before you can find any 2 loss team in the AP top 4 after the regular season. There could certainly be a 2-loss team like Stanford that has an argument...but it won't be a team from the B1G arguing with 2 losses that's for sure. I don't think a two-loss team will be in but it's a definite possibility. Will not surprise me at all if the Pac-12 champion has two losses. And with all the good SEC teams in the West, it wouldn't be a shock if the SEC champ has two losses either.
  6. How did Oregon's loss affect their future? Same as it would have last year. Every loss hurts your chances to win the national title but one loss definitely doesn't throw you out.
  7. Steven M. Sipple ‏@HuskerExtraSip 48s49 seconds ago Pelini says Kenny Bell, Daniel Davie, Marcus Newby and Brandon Reilly are all ready for Saturday's game. #Huskers

  15. So apparently the Seahawks are thinking they're better than they are and aren't taking meetings and preparations seriously enough.

It certainly didn't take long for the excuses to start rolling in.

    2. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

This tends to happen after youve won the grandest championship in all the land. Its human nature.

  16. I've lost track. Has the Playoff killed the regular season yet?
  17. At least two of those undefeated teams are going to lose in the regular season. There will be at least seven losses among those six SEC teams. There will be at least seven losses among those five Big XII teams. There will be at least 12 losses among those six Pac 12 teams. There will be at least nine losses among those six B1G teams. The ACC is terrible save one team.

  21. One of the coaches visited last week - I would guess Fisher as he was in the area.
  22. We did visit him this week (not sure which coach).
  23. Staff visited last week. Either Paps (who visited Neal) or Cotton I would guess.
