  1. At the family service for one of my grandfathers, I was in charge of starting some of the music. Mid-song my then two year old daughter walked over to me and as I picked her up I bumped the remote I still had in my hand. Suddenly we were all listening to ABC by the Jackson Five.
  2. A lot can - and surely will - change between now and then but I don't think we could as for a better set of first and potential second round match-ups.
  3. If the season ended right now, the conference tourney would look like this: #1 Michigan against the #8 Purdue/#9 Northwestern winner #4 Wisconsin against the #5 Ohio State/#12 Illinois winner #2 Michigan State against the #7 Minnesota/#10 Indiana winner #3 Iowa against the #6 Nebraska/#11 Penn State winner
  4. Bryan Munson ‏@BigRedBryan 6m Seward (Nebr.) OL/DL Adam Holtorf going to #KSU and possibly #OSU for junior days. When will he visit #Nebraska? ($) http://nebraska.scout.com/2/1376210.html
  5. Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut 1h 2014 juco PG Trey Dickerson tells me #Nebrasketball’s Tim Miles & Craig Smith will be in to see him tomorrow. Plan is to get visit scheduled Good timing.
  6. Minny has NW right now. Then Ill, @tOSU, Iowa, @ Mich, PSU. If they beat the three they should they'll need to beat one of the others to get to .500 in the conference. Then I'd say they need one more regular season win or maybe two in the conference tourney to get in.
  7. Will be interesting to see how many the B1G gets in. Not sure it's as many as last year - which was seven, iirc - because I don't think the league is quite as strong, at least at the top. But I have no idea how the rest of the country is doing either. Last week, ESPN's Joe Lunardi had six B1G teams in. And his first eight teams out didn't have any B1G teams either. Will be interesting to see his next update.
  8. Starting out on a down note this year: The Eisenhower Tree at Augusta National is now a memory.
  9. Teams that have beaten Michigan State this year: North Carolina, Michigan, Georgetown, Wisconsin and Nebraska
  10. huskerhoops 4 minutes ago Kinda fun time here in East Lansing. #Nebrasketball#Huskers #GBR
  11. Doug Gottlieb ‏@GottliebShow 39m If you are surprised by Tim Miles ability to build, you should read up on ND State and Colorado State #Huskers
  12. Compilation of all NU recruits since 1962 by State (OWH).
  13. Another one that's more interesting than accurate but here you go. http://www.buzzfeed.com/ashleyperez/what-career-should-you-have It told me Athlete. Luckily for me there weren't any questions about actual athletic ability.
  14. I would vote mandatory. Especially if you go with some sort of "after you've been elected x times" criteria. Are we at five now? I've forgotten already. I'd go at least four and probably five. Gives you a chance to get several different selections before being "promoted". I like the avatars personally but there could be something else as well. Someone mentioned expanding to assistant coaches and I've been rolling that around ever since, trying to come up with a way to incorporate something like that. The tricky part is that HC, OC and DC have usually been included in the voting but I've been trying to figure out a decent way that that "Hall of Fame" could use other jobs associated with the football team. We could take the three coaching spots out of the voting and have the "Hall of Fame" be the coaching staff. That would be 9-10 spots or so and could be listed each year in the thread. You could also use AD and throw in a couple Associate AD or other admin spots. I haven't really come up with anything I really like yet. Thought I'd throw it out there to see what anyone else thought. Other than that, perhaps just a regular Hall of Fame with a thread of some sort and an avatar to sport. I'd lean toward yes although you could add a couple others as well. Depends on how many will be in the first Hall of Fame class. Just my $0.02
  15. Says he'll visit but nothing scheduled yet. I wouldn't hold my breath with this one - he could visit but I doubt we get him.
  16. Danny Nee suspended from coaching US Merchant Marine Academy after "incident"

  17. Selected for the Army All-American Bowl
  18. Selected for the Army All-American Bowl
  19. Pretty sure Decker will be a guard. Also, forgot about Bar Milo. Pretty highly ranked and same school as Terrell Newby.
  20. Yeah, I'm not sure either. Probably Dietzen but Wiscy should have an edge. Perhaps Petitbon but he's shorter and may project better to guard. Also Megginson although he's not as highly rated. We've offered several other OTs so there must be some hangup but his size, location and rankings sure seem to make him someone we should be interested.
