  1. Some people seem to think so (though I don't know how easy it would be for him to get a job right away if he left). And I agree, I feel that Raymond has done a good job in his one year of building relationships with recruits, and like he's already said, he seems to know what kids to go after.
  2. We need all white uni's with the white socks, or at least white socks.
  3. Do some people just not get it? We're still Nebraska, excellence is the standard not mediocrity, nothing less should be accepted.

  4. Why? We excuse Bo not being able to handle the media but we crucify an assistant coach, why does Bo get a pass when he should know better than Raymond, btw Raymond is not wrong. Or we're o.k. when the "Jamal Drill" is used by a coach (which went just as public as what Raymond said), but a coach can't say he wish he could play different players. And we might just want to let the Marvin thing go.
  5. It's about time it's been said, you think Nick Saban and Kirby Smart are pulling punches down at Alabama? Hell no they're not! I'm with Corey Raymond 100% here, we didn't have the athletes that South Carolina did and they aren't even the best the SEC has to offer and put our athletes to shame. That's part of the problem, Raymond is a guy from the south who gets it, he knows the difference between the kids that come from the south to play football and the ones that don't. Each year those kids are winning titles, we have many of those athletes though we are quite far from having a roster full of them like LSU, Bama, and Georgia do and yet we don't even play some of our best athletes half the time. Raymond said it and he's right our athletes didn't match up with theirs because we played guys like Cassidy and Blatchford in the secondary who wouldn't even sniff the two-deep at places like LSU yet they start for us. That's what he was saying in a nutshell and it's hard to argue that, he wants us to recruit better/elite athletes plain and simple, and he wants us to play the athletes we have now.
  6. Not a whole lot after the past two years and it goes well beyond just the on-field play...
  7. You have a beyond legitimate concern, things aren't going in the right direction, you're only trying to convince yourself at this point if you think it is, or you have accepted becoming average.
  8. There's a serious problem with our program right now, and until the people who have the power to change it and the fans start seeing things for what they really are (which is exactly what today's game should've done, but we've fallen to the point in our program's great tradition that we rationalize mediocracy and failure) our program can't get back to where it should be.
  9. I would think he would be 8-9 months before he could really start training again wouldn't it? I always thought with an ACL 8-9 months for full healing and then another couple months (for athletes) to train back into shape and get that knee to full strength again.
  10. What a bunch of babies we have around here latley. Oh please coach dont call me out for a dropped pass, i might cry and transfer. Sack up. See I always thought the coaches were supposed to be the mature ones when dealing with 18 year old kids in their first year of division 1 football, the right way to handle Jamal was the way Beck did, not mocking a freshmen who was having a hard time adjusting to the next level of football.
  11. I really loved the part about the "Jamal Drill" aren't our coaches just hilarious? I mean let's mock a freshmen who dropped what could have been a catch that could have launched his freshmen year to new heights and kept him on the field and kept his confidence where we all would have loved for it to have been, yet when Brandon Kinnie has dropped everything thrown his way in the last two years there's no "Kinnie Drill" or no hey let's throw like Taylor Martinez drill. But no it's all in good fun by our coaches because they know how to make practice fun and joke around.
  12. Nobody expects that but elite programs expect to win at least 10 games a year and reach their conference title game to get the chance at a BCS bowl game. It won't happen every year that's obvious, save me the that's unrealistic argument, it's as much of a mindset as it is reaching that goal.
  13. Gomes can just remind him of that 33-0 beatdown...
  14. Based off the response from Aaron it looks like he has no plans of transfering, I haven't heard anything and it wouldn't make sense to me. Aaron will be starting most likely after Rex leaves. He is in a good situation at NU, can't see him going somewhere else and having better success.
  15. Congrats to Turner Gill, hope he proves to everyone he's the coach he was at Buffalo and not the coaching death trap known as KU football.
  16. While the players are no longer supposed to be tweeting, Bo is sending out a record number of tweets, back to back days? I was wondering if he get hacked for a second.
  17. Hopefully the visit will blow him away more than he thought possible and really make him think.
  18. The question becomes if he were to come to Nebraska how much control would Bo allow him to have over the D, and let's say he does get quite a bit and the D starts slipping like it did with Carl, would Bo step right back in and take over?

  20. Oh don't worry I'm sure lots of people with the "real" inside info will be all over this thread, you won't have to wait long.
  21. Nothing I said will you find at either of those places.
