And before you start on the "oh, it's Harbaugh and Hoke sucked," bandwagon.... Yes, Hoke sucked. But Hoke sucked so bad that he had the 7th ranked defense in the country at the end of the year last year. Didn't help that he had one of the worst, god-awful offenses to ever step foot on the field. So before people start throwing all the glory Jim-Bo's way....let's give him the same amount of time at Michigan as Shaw has had at Stanford. Didn't Hoke keep the same DC that has been at Michigan for years? Was it Mattheson? Hoke took RRod's players to the Sugar Bowl too. I think Harbaugh is a great college coach for sure. But Michigan has always had talent. Always.

Stanford is impressing me tonight. Love that RB and their O Line is great. I remember another red/white team who used to look like that!

This is a game I thought we should win at the beginning of the season. I still feel that way. As bad as the defense has been this year, it's the offense that is killing us. I am hoping the coaches put the team in a better position with some coherent play calling.

Personally, I no longer believe the money is there...not for a big-name coach anyway. Nope. Not when we are essentially paying 5 million for the Bo/MR combo. I guess we are still paying Cally too.

It's going to be very tough to recruit against Harbaugh. Can you imagine that guy sitting in your living room and telling him no?

I would say that is a hell of a comeback season. I also think it is very unlikely. MSU is going to get beat by Michigan so the only decent team left is Iowa. I really hope Riley knows how to use a bye week. Bo seemed to always lose those games. I learned to hate bye weeks.

I would feel a lot better about 5-1 but it is hard to feel good about any aspect of our game right now. Like with teams in the past, we would pull one out but feel our record was a sham. We know good, solid football when we see it. We just haven't seen it since like 2009.

Probably not unless we had back to back losing seasons. Remember, we usually fire winning coaches. We haven't had somebody come in a lose this quickly and in such inept ways. This is new territory for NU in a way. If we could go 6-6 and then 8-4 or something next year, he will be fine.

It's hard to say what SE will do. I think he does have his sights set on Madison when BA retires. Not sure he would get hired if Lincoln tuns into a dumpster fire. He needs this to work now. If for some reason Riley doesn't work out here, I would hope he would be very careful on the next hire. For instance, I thought he should have looked at some Big 10 assistants or coordinators. Bringing a PAC 12 guy here was kind of a head scratcher. The way to make that work was to hire a top notch DC. We didn't do that for sure.

As bad as we are right now, we are not in a position to fire anyone. I think it is going to be a struggle to get to .500 but we don't have to play the best teams in the conference, It is a drag listening to national radio shows wagging their finger saying "careful what you wish for Nebraska". As if all NU fans wanted this. Not true. I imagine none of our fan base is happy. Not even the kool aid gang. There are some tight colons and short fuses from even the pumpers. Yowza. We will win a game again soon. We cannot lose them all. Truly. Very interesting to see all the coaching upheavals mid-season. Sark fired, Spurrier leaving immediately...at least it isn't a boring year. Oh yeah and Big Blue is winning the Big 10.

If we end up winning out the NW loss will be a blessing. We end up in a BCS bowl.
