Wouldn't it be someone who was at NRG media. Perhaps not there any longer? NRG was the owner of the audio because it was done while they are preparing for the post game interview. Or else someone from NRG gave it to the person who sent it to deadspin.

Here's the problem. Bo will probably go 8-4 or 9-3. If Eichorst fires him it'll be viewed exactly how Pederson fired Solich. Then you also might have Texas and USC with openings so you are battling with them for the top coaches and I highly doubt Eichorst would be competitive as far as salary with those two schools. We're stuck with Bo for this year and probably next I believe. The best case scenario is that Bo moves on somewhere else but who would take him? His specialty in defense has been the biggest problem.

He had a pretty good year in Rookie League. Hit 10 HR in 200 ABs in 53 games. Only hit .275 but that's to be expected with his first year in pro ball. His OBP was prtty good too.

I'm really worried about our line play with the 2 most important players on each side out for the game. Nya, they played well after Stein and Jackson went down but Wisconsin ain't Io_a (they can't buy a "w")

It was plain ridiculous....Desmond Howard also obviously has it in for Nebraska. I never buy into the "commentator is biased" stuff but this was beyond ridiculous. They spent about 75% of the segment railing on Pelini wondering "what kind of culture they have there at Nebraska." And did a whole lot of assuming on things. Then comparing Pelini to Tubberville. They said at least Tubberville was sorry and Bo seemed to not be sorry or his actions. What a rail job.

I think the guy who asked the question is a booster. I heard on 1620 that he was called by TO and apologized to. Mike'l Severe seems to know who it is but isn't saying.

I tried to do the trackwrestling.com thing that huskers.com linked to. It did not work very well. I only saw live stats for 4 matches and nebraska won 3 with a major decision on 1 but it does not tell results from the previous matches. Oh well, got to go to bed, I have to referee a high school meet tomorrow here in kansas...

My theory, not that you asked but I'll tell you anyway, is that Bo realizes it will be a fish bowl where ever he is. I don't think the fan or media scrutiny effects him in that part. I do think that he's finding it more difficult to recruit the type of player he needs to Nebraska. Not that he doesn't mind the work but as we all know it is much more difficult to get the top athletes to Nebraska. Therefore, he just tests the waters at these other programs where recruiting would be much easier, just in case something works out. I think he realizes what kind of job he has here but will always listen to something from a place that would be easier to get athletes to. Just my 2 cents.

When i first read your question I thought,"Depends who contacted who." Just like you stated. If they are contacting Bo, fine then. That's part of the business and being a successful coach. If Bo is the one putting out the feelers or testing the waters at these places then I can't trust him. But we will probably never know the truth.

agreed. you would think people would have learned last time we fired a winning coach. but no, lets fire bo and then resort to our 5th option for head coach because no one in their right mind would want a job where you get fired for winning 9+ games. freakin idiots. I think I have only seen 3-4 in extreme long distance downs. Don't remember ever seeing Pelini run a 3-4 as his base defense. And if he was part of a defense that ran in 3-4 in the NFL it's because he wasn't the D Coordinator.

I just looked it up and the best that I can find is that Notre Dame requires geometry as well. Although there website is not as clear cut as Nebraska's freshman requirements for admission. Of Course there could be exceptions I guess.

I would think that ND would require the geometry class as well. ND's academics are better than Nebraskas and if Nebraska required geometry I'm sure ND would require it. Don't you think? I would think ND would require both while Nebraska would require just the core math requirement. I just can't imagine ND not requiring geometry with the academic standing that university has.
