I didn't compare him to Frost, who is one of my favorites, because he doesn't seem to have the speed Scott had even though he looks like he will lower a shoulder. To me, it looks like he has a better arm from the get go. I never saw any HS video tape of Frost but Stanton to me looks like a better thrower right now.

This is awesome news. I like the fact that Gruden labeled him Johnny Tebow. He runs like him but throws a heck of a lot better. Great combo to have at QB.

This thread will likely endure to the start of the season because Martinez is such an enigmatic figure. I don't think there has ever been a Husker QB that could go from looking like he possessed god like athleticism and ability in one game or half or play to looking like a mediocre and indecisive player in the next. I think it is this inconstancy and the dichotomy between the two types of performances that frustrates fans and leads to the endless discussions about him that occur. His ceiling is ridiculously high as he demonstrated in the first half of that RS freshman season and he'll continue to be judged against that, fair or not.

Don't know about mediums but since the discussion veered over to the ghost topic I can say that I have seen what I can't explain as anything else other than what we call a ghost. I used to live in a condo that was converted officer housing from days gone by. One night I hear this sound that sounded as if someone kicked or slammed a drawer on a metal desk that I had. I look over in the direction of what I heard and there was this shadow figure. It wasn't defined enough to tell if it had features but the posture it had and the way it had it's "head" positioned gave me the distinct impression that it was looking at me. I don't have any idea how it would actually see or perceive anything but it looked like dude was looking at me. I was freaked obviously. It stood there for a couple seconds and then turned and walked into a wall. I had been painting and remodeling the place and supposedly that can be a catalyst for activity, or so they tell me on all the paranormal shows. At any rate, I saw it. Don't know what it really was or is but i saw it.

Contemporary safety and crash standards are a huge issue in relation to fuel economy. Contemporary cars are much heavier because of them in comparison to 15 to 20 years ago. 40 MPG used to be no big deal with an old Honda Civic because it was small and light. Mass needs energy to move it down the road. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
