  1. Brett got married this last year! Alex Henery got drafted. Chris Brown got drafted. Josh Brown got drafted. Actually about 10 kickers per year get drafted to the NFL so your statement is incorrect. However, many more get 'try outs' than get drafted so maybe you're thinking of that aspect? Compared to the amount of kickers that get a 'try out' it would appear that kickers 'rarely' get drafted. Is that what you're thinking? 10 kickers a year do not get drafted alex henery was the only kicker drafted that year as well It depends on who you read. I read 2-3 then I read as high as 10. Who do you believe? There's really no reading or believing involved. 10 kickers don't get drafted in a single year. Go look it up.
  2. Completely? No. But the difference between giving up 18 points per game in the SEC and 26 points per game in the Big Ten. What I would say is our top 50 or so was every bit as good as theirs. Once we get further out than that, their bottom 20 or so had our bottom 20 beat. They were definately deeper than us. Which stems back to the 08 and 09 recruiting class. Got that right.

  4. Georgia is good, but how could anyone possibly argue that Georgia is the 2nd best team in the country? Anyway, history would say 4 losses, but with that schedule, only 2 or 3 losses. Glad you asked! UGA was about 5 yards away from playing for the national championship instead of Alabama. If Alabama beats ND, then who's to say UGA isn't #2? All you know is that they barely got by Alabama, so it's entirely possible they're #2. And they didn't get those 5 yards. So nobody in the country thinks it's possible they're #2. And don't forget they got hammered by South Carolina. The season isn't about 1 game. Maybe A&M is #2 because they actually beat Alabama. But wait a minute, LSU beat A&M. And Clemson beat LSU. So Clemson is #2. But wait... Oh, my head hurts now. Georgia is not the #2 team. I'm going to say it, and every voter will too. That's who. ....Right. They didn't get the 5 yards, that's the point. You can use the myteamisbetterthanyourteam.com approach to decide who is #2 all you want, but after the regular season ended Georgia was effectively in a 3-team playoff for the national championship and lost in the semi-finals. If Notre Dame also loses to Alabama, you have no objective way to relatively place ND and UGA. I'm not saying they're going to finish ranked #2 in any poll. Just that at the conclusion of the regular season they were one of three teams with a shot at a national championship. They won't be the winner, meaning they're either #2 or #3 based on that way of looking at it.
  5. "You see, I know the defense better than anyone. Tackling guys is easy when you are always in the right position to make plays" "Absolutely, who needs athleticism when I can precisely calculate the optimal place to be at all times" Like it or not, he's right. We aren't going to win championships with the #1 and #2 type of player.

  7. I'm pretty sure every non-blowout loss in our current-OC's era can be summarized by this.
  8. Right now. If you're smart, you'll probably be feeling emotions including: We played arguably the 2nd best team in the country pretty well Our offense is good and we don't lose many people Our offense better be good because our defense sure isn't going to be pitching a shutout anytime soon We're loaded with potential, but potential means nothing if you can't unleash it -- which we really haven't since 2009 We play a relatively soft schedule If you're a cletus, you'll probably be mad that Nebraska didn't win by 99 and say we won't win a game. But then again, you'll remember you're a cletus and predict a national championship victory. That said, I'll say 9-3 with a frustrating loss to an SEC team in a bowl. What do you think?
  9. Everybody go eat some peaches as a sacrifice to the SEC football gods and maybe we'll only lose by 20.
  10. No. No? Why not? He has NOTHING to do with Husker football. You're right, a former Husker football player has nothing to do with Husker football. Might as well lock up the Suh thread too, he doesn't deserve to be here either!!
  11. Couldn't disagree more. If you watch his tape and the types of plays he makes, you can tell he'd flourish in our defense. He's got the combination of smarts and physical abilities to be really good here.
  12. Why is everyone under the assumption that he wanted everything handed to him? Nobody even considers the possibility that he realized he wasn't going to learn anything under assclown Barney Cotton and wanted to get out while he could? He's a super talented lineman and as long as Florida doesn't have BC Jr running their offensive line, Moore's probably going to have a shot at the NFL. Not only do I respect his decision, I think he probably made the right one.
  13. I would support it, but only if we can lure the MAC #6 and the Conference USA #5 into playing. Hopefully ESPN puts Pam Ward and Beth Mowins on the call, but that's not a deal breaker.
  14. Bo is the coach, he doesn't run the ball you idiot. That's the running back's job.
  15. Got a good feeling that he's gonna be N!!!
  16. I don't post a lot in the recruiting forums because I don't follow it too closely, but I have been following Miles for awhile. Yeah, he's probably not the second coming of Suh but I think he would really been able to flourish in our system. He's got the potential to be a big contributor for us, and if we lose him I think it'll be a pretty big loss.
  17. 1. Winning record every year 2. At least one five star recruit and four four stars each year 3. One Groza every 10 years 4. One Heisman every 40 years 3. Black uniforms once every two years 4. New turf every 7 years 5. At least one contributing player every year the crowd can "UUUUUUUUUUU" 6. Coke products to be sold in Memorial 7. Win% of 100 against Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, and Purdue 8. No major NCAA violations 9. No major crimes committed by players 10. See a game at Memorial where the wave is not performed by the crowd
  18. "Only peasants use the word random, so I'm going to use stochastic instead" It deserves a +1
