  4. Rand has apparently been in the state duck "some bird" hunting for the past couple of days. Not sure how long he'll be here, but maybe he'll stop by Lincoln sometime and meet the new staff in person. Garrett Rand ‏@rand3218 It was a great day today in Nebraska Garrett Rand ‏@rand3218 Birdies can't hide from me#Nebraska
  5. Has anyone figured out why Morgan Burnett went into a post-interception slide with 5 mins left and a wide open field in front of him?

  6. Jeremy Birmingham ‏@Birm #Buckeyes commitment Joe Burrow: " I'm going to Ohio State. No hesitation, no questions.” Good luck at Ohio St. Joe. Really wish our previous staff wouldn't have screwed the pooch. Joe would have been a Husker.
  7. He'll do well there I believe. I never had as big of a problem with him, like many on this board. Did he have some head scratching moments? Yeah. All OC's do, and our new OC Langsdorf will too. He'll have some of the nation's best college football players to work with, and Meyer will MAKE him recruit.
  8. Soooooooo I'm thinking we got an absolute steal with this kid..... I'm pumped to see him play!
  9. Bump for Khalil! Carlos is getting all of the love in his thread lately! (I should have just made one thread for the twins....) @swmckewonOWH Per their mom, Tracy Davis, Carlos and Khalil Davis will be visiting Nebraska Jan. 24 and Jan. 25. No official visit to Mizzou. #huskers
  10. From this Denver Post article: "But overall, a quality control assistant's job is rooted in game preparation. They usually work at least one or two weeks ahead in the regular season. They prepare the statistical analysis as well as the initial video study of upcoming opponents. The defensive quality control assistant breaks down opposing offenses, including how often they line up in specific formations and how they use various personnel groupings. He charts down-and-distance situations, field position, substitutions, etc., and then gives that report to the team's defensive staff when they begin their game planning each week during the regular season."
  11. Rumor is that the WR's coach is coaching in the playoffs today: Robert Prince Before the Lions he was OC/WR Coach at Boise St.
  12. I know two contractors with 30 years experience. Would let them build anything for me. Very impressed with this hire. Reminds me of Monte Kiffin but much younger. So impressed that we are using our vast resources to hire a top flight staff. I win.
  13. YES!!! B1G-B1G-B1G!!!!

  14. Alright you've hit Husker Board and the Nebraska Rivals message board. Make sure you post the same thing on the 247 message board next, then maybe the Scout board and HuskerMax afterwards. OP=

True. I would just like to see him in a Husker uniform. Especially now that we see what DE depth looks like. Oh well, hope he continues to do big things out there.

    3. Mavric

      Mavric

Agree that he would have been good to have. We did offer but after Stanford. Don't know if it would have made a difference.

He chose Stanford. High hopes for stoltenberg, kid could be a beast along with McMullen and hoping moss

  16. This is perfect, well said. I don't mind a few hires like this, but so far the entire staff is mostly old OSU guys without a great track record, particularly on defense. Resources can only do so much. This guy from Cincinnati hasn't been hired, but he exemplifies the type of coaches we're looking at... unimpressive. He's been at Cincinnati 1 year. He was the D-line Coach at Memphis in 2000 when they had the #1 run defense in the country. He was also the DC at UCONN from 2006 to 2012. They finished in the top 10 of Total Defense 3 times, top 10 in rush defense all but one season. His 2012 defense was 7th in rush defense, 9th in total defense, and 19th in scoring defense.
  17. Yeah he's a real scrub......... I mean really?
  18. Mitch Sherman ‏@mitchsherman Nebraska and Oklahoma State lead for nation's No. 1 OT Jalin Barnett, at UAAllAmerica check-in right now. Mitch Sherman ‏@mitchsherman Barnett has a size-18 foot.
