Where was this? Given the 2 deaths at Pawnee this year, I could see why they may be stricter than usual. 

@Fru I completely accept the responsibility of failing to have a vest and agree in principle, but I genuinely didn’t know. It was on Lake Manawa in the boat launch area about 100-200 yards away from the ramp. 

What chaps me was that he acted friendly like it’s not a big deal and actually offered to loan me a life vest if we returned it before leaving. I questioned why he needed our licenses which he said “to check for warrants or anything outstanding” and then 10 minutes later comes out with a ticket. I felt like I was mislead for what the outcome resulted.

Oh man!  How much was the ticket?
