Sadly I think TO is gonna leave this decision up to his successor! I think doc will get another year. I think we will be better next year also(20wins). I don't think TO wants to tie his successors hands with a new BB hire. These guys like to bring in their own guy which makes sense since their job depends on the coaches success. Also I feel like this can be a way for TO to get out of this situation without personally taking a hit. Hire a successor now to replace him within 2 years. Let the next guy fire doc. And TO can use stability in recruiting and recruiting to new facilities to hold off the haters!

I think we saw whAT we needed from Andy green last year... Came in as a RFrosh and grew as the year went along. Not many people take on that position and just dominate out of the gate. Green got better and he seemed more confident at years end. And confidence is 80% of playing that position iMO! Also people need to remember how good he was against the run! It's his spot to lose and I can only see him getting better!

Another mind-numbing stat that has no value to anything that matters. How many ways can we be made aware of the fact that we took a small class and that fact alone is the major reason our overall numbers are down!

I wanna see FIRE! I wanna see some unsportsmanlike conduct penalties from the blackshirts! Get em out of our system. I wanna see a 7-6 final because both defenses were soooo dominant! Then stand over their scholarship counterparts and let em know "I'm coming for your job son!" I wanna see Bo let Maher attempt a 57yd field-goal cause if he misses, he knows his defense will get it right back! I wanna see passion! Bottom line. I've seen underdogs dominate better teams fueled by passion. I wanna see swagger... I'm talking to you CBs! I wanna see Bo get knocked on his a$$ chest bumping the defense as they come off the field. Iwanna hear memorial stadium rock from start to finish! And after the game I wanna hear someone call out the legends division. Serve notice! Last year was like a first date.... Polite, cordial, didn't wanna eat too much. This year, we hungry!!! And we're going all the way!

Now don't jump down my throat for this prognostication but here are my thoughts about this topic: First off I am seeing an 8-5 or 7-6 season. With that in mind I can see us really making an effort to develop depth in games and not just practice. I see us getting off to a 3-3 or 4-2 kinda start with losses coming in similar fashion as last year. With that I see pelini blowing up the depth chart trying to get a spark going. In pertaining to the runningback position I see it playing out similar to last year with this exception. Once we become eliminated for alot of our post season goals I see pelini pulling the reins in on Rex to keep him healthy for the next level. In summing up, my guess about our record(if comes true) lends to us getting a serious look at our younger guys. I wish we could get a good look at younger guys in the 3rd and 4th quarters of blowouts but quite honestly when's the last time we were afforded that luxury?

I would have love to see Fischer move to tight end last year. Maybe too late now but what a waste so far. I know he was injured and that most people never return to the same form but he should ask to be moved to someplace he could help the team. DE or TE ImO!

I miss the old BIG 8 teams. Misery Kansas and such. New is nice don't get me wrong. I likes me some strange. But until we get some history with these teams it still a stranger in a strange land for me.

Is there any updates on the current commits as far as qualifyng goes. I know there were a couple guys that were borderline.

Oh I agree. And yeah I thought the Dixon commit was also quick considering the stance I thought pelini had. Wasn't a couple of our targets in this past class urged to take other visits to make sure? Just wondering if there was a different tactic being taken this year... Push to commit early! What is our stance on kids like Dixon if he wants to take other visits but stay strong verbally with us? Do we do like some other schools and cut em loose if they wanna look around?
