Heritage and legacy don't seem to matter anymore. How hard must it be to recruit when your trying to sell culture.  And honestly, Pelini was right, trying to sell Lincoln is pretty tough when you're up against beaches and warm weather and agents in hot tubs.  I said it in a thread and got crap on by the condoling crowd- but I'll take kids that want to play ball so bad that they'll sue over a five star that will bolt or sit.  And I don't give a rip about their NFL "potental."  What a waste of resources.  There has got to be enough talent in a 500-1000 miles to field a team, and throw in the diamond's in the rough-like Suh.

@Decked Oh I understand why we're seeing a bunch of frosh transferring before they've even suited up for us. I still don't like the way it works nowadays. I much preferred the days when the players, to a much greater extent, honored their commitments and at least pretended to have some pride and school spirit. It's really nothing more than a business now. It may not be a popular opinion but the last thing I wanted CFB to become was just another pseudo professional league. Transfer portal, NIL concerns....I don't like what it's become or where it's going. Sure the schools have made a pretty penny on their backs but it's only downhill from here, The more autonomy and bigger slice of the pie they get, will get, the more they also will need to be treated as a dispensible commodity. People b!^@h about the way Saban does things but I don't blame him one bit, Bama was just ahead of the curve. It's just what the game is becoming and that's not the game I grew to love.
