    Mertz is playing well. Although I think Illinois is actually pretty bad. Lovie is on borrowed time. Maybe not this year because 2020 but next year he’s cooked.

      Yeah, I was hoping for a more interesting game to start the Big Ten season, but it doesn't look like that's happening, lol. Mertz looks legit, but we'll see how he does against legit competition...

      Lovie will "retire" not get "fired" but covid will probably save him from "retiring" for one more year.  Then they might hit up Jeff Monken (the Army coach) who is from the area and would be an instant nightmare and instant 7 game winning team every year.  2 or 3 wins in the non-con each season and then 3-4 conference wins each year.

      No way Illinois wins 7 a year in the big ten. Maybe in 2011-2018. Big ten is better.
