  1. new info on who could get what (or nothing) @teachercd
  2. This was an interesting read. I don't agree on all, but I can see some of the basic points too.
  3. Definitely could be. For my money, this would have been the way to approach it at first. With over 300k of our 400k casualties age 65 or over, such an approach probably would have worked initially, and once it became apparent that folks under 50 had very little chance of dying, then they could have ramped up protocols for the geriatric crowd and everyone else could have pretty much carried on like normal.
  4. Were you one of the 7,500 front line workers invited? If so, thank you so much for all you have done during this past year. I still stand by my assertion that at some point, with vaccines and lower counts, we need to move towards what probably should have been put in place at the beginning. My thought has always been they should have: Complete shut down for 14 days. Isolate the most susceptible. Precautions for all others. Protocols in place for positive "hot spots". Continue ad infinitum without ruining the jobs market and the economy.
  5. I doubt the NFL would have proceeded if they felt it was a inordinate risk. They sure did a good job throughout the season keeping their folks safe.
  6. At some point, it will, and should come down to this. If you wish to continue to isolate then by all means do so. If 25k others are comfortable in a 75k seat stadium, socially distanced and wearing masks, then so be it.
  7. I thought "meh, that District is huge, over 67,000 square miles"...it could be legit. Until I read the embedded article and not just the tweets... To justify those reimbursements, Boebert would have had to drive 38,712 miles while campaigning, despite having no publicly advertised campaign events in March, April or July, and only one in May. Furthermore, because the reimbursements came in two payments — a modest $1,060 at the end of March and $21,200 on Nov. 11 — Boebert would have had to drive 36,870 miles in just over seven months between April 1 and Nov. 11 to justify the second payment.
  8. That's been the running diatribe since the middle of 2020
  9. Not a "concert goer" per se, so I really don't have any replies, but your idea is great and the bands you list are all worthy. Well done, and look forward to some responses.
  10. David Hogg to compete with Mike Lindell for the "My Pillow" market slice
  11. TBF I don't know if the office building AOC was in got breached. I have seen numerous reports it was not. However, if she was worried about this sort of backlash, she probably should not have posted the reenactment of the scary event, if she wasn't actually in the Capitol at the time...and especially if no protestors entered the Cannon office building, if that was her actual location.
  12. Yes, agree. I was referring to the debate of died "with Covid" or "from Covid"...which is similar to your earlier reference regarding no way to determine if they would have perished anyway, "with" or "without" the vaccine.
  13. This sounds very similar to the arguments regarding the counting of "covid deaths" overall
  14. If part of the anti-masker crowd, then it should be no surprise they would be anti-vaccine as well I guess.
  15. If they don't want the vaccine, then they don't need to get it... There may be issues later with travelling if they don't get the shot, but otherwise keep on wearing a mask/social distancing/washing their hands.
