  1. Didn't he leave FAU to go to USC? I believe he was at FAU as a DC, basically finished out the season and went to USC as a DB Coach. He will more than likely find a job here soon though. Don't quote me on this but I think he got hired as the DC at FAU, was only their for one to two months then took the job at USC. I think Polar is right on this one. This was Carl's first season as Head Coach down there.
  2. Oklahoma hasn't done that....however there 5 years are better than ours easily. I wouldn't say easily. I's say their last five years are better than ours by three points and one second. 2 is greater than 0 doesn't matter how you slice it. I would take an 8-5 season if it means a couple 12 win seasons. That is better than 5 four loss seasons I will agree with Headley. I will say that the gap is a lot narrower than when Bo arrived. I believe that is something worth noting
  3. ^ I was just scrolling until someone said it. Barron Miles was a beast. Wasn't it in the Fiesta bowl where he was going for a block on Florida and got flagged for offsides and when they lined up again, he still got the block? I might have been thinking of Jamel Williams sack of Wuerffel. It's been so long ago.

  6. Doubt it would have helped. I think weather is a big factor for some kids. LSU, ASU and UCLA are warm and we were the only cold place he considered.
  7. I only miss Oklahoma. But we have better "helmet" games here. Plus Nebraska is no worse off record wise than in the Big 12. But the money and stability sure is better in B1G. I think Ubben should be looking into whether some of the remaining teams would bolt if the other conferences come calling to fill up to 16.
  8. Haha.... I just don't understand this.... He realizes that it's Kentucky, right? I mean, it's not like he is going to the Big 4. Huge difference playing in the SEC at UK vs the other guys.
  9. Nice pick up. Good job to coach TJ. Man that guy is having fun here!
  10. Anyone know what the tweets were?
  11. Did we offer Goodman? Yes. Rich Fisher is listed as the main recruiter according to 247
  12. Scout shows that Chucky committed to Louisville now.
  13. Didn't play as a true freshman...he redshirted. I wouldn't think of Braylon Heard as a true freshman either. I stand corrected about Allen. And just because Heard had time off due to grades, he was a true freshman last year. He did not play anywhere else during that time and was good enough to see the field after not getting to play for a year. I think we are missing the point here. If Walker is good enough to get on the field, Bo will put him in. Personally I don't see how he will blow away any competition ahead of him, though.
  14. You can exclude green from that list. He played but not for the reason everyone else did Regardless of what may have been other circumstances, Green was good enough to get on the field as a true freshman.
  15. Bo will play him as a true Freshman if he is that good to get on the field. He did it with Abdullah, Heard, Green, Burkhead, Jamaal Turner, Tarriq Allen, Tyler Moore, etc, etc
  16. I won't run to BC's defense but if you think that there is a coach out there that would sabotage the Super Bowl, you are out of your mind. With that said, when he was at NU, I heard a lot about he and Pederson thinking they were always the smartest person in the room. And what Gannon said about them changing calls at the LOS kind of plays into that thought process. He thought he could outsmart Gruden but it failed because his players could not catch on fast enough.
  17. Not at all surprised, OU's program has been very pedestrian lately and its finally starting to show in their recruiting. Last 5 years OU 52-15 2 Conf championships Last 5 years NU 48-16 0 Conf championships If that is pedestrian what are we? I wouldn't call them pedestrian by any stretch. Very pedestrian 2 BCS bowls, 2 12 win seasons with the worst season being an 8-5 year. Sign me up for wanting to be pedestrian I agree. We are not quite to Oklahomas level yet. They mave have plateaued a little but we have some work to do to get there.
  18. This is a big time in these kids' lives so I am a little more lenient in their choices to take visits or host coaches. On the flip side, I am not sure how you host the coaches you are committed to, tell them you are 100% Husker, tweet that you are 100% Husker, then tweet that you are hosting Auburn coaches, host said coaches, tweet that you have all these decisions to make. This is the strangest commit I have seen in a while.
  19. If this is true with Priest, is it safe to assume that we are 2-3 on the "Big" commits? I was thinking back and the ones we miseed under Pelini where we were in it to the end were Owa, Andrus Peat, and now Priest. The ones we got so far would be Aaron Green (although didn't pan out) and Terrell Newby. I did not include Baker Steinkuhler since he was a legacy or Adam Taylor because he was committed to LSU first. Can anyone think of one or two or more that I couldn't remember?
  20. Wasn't Fonoti an All American? He was pretty good in the 2000's
  21. You are assuming he would see the field as a true freshman in order to play against Taylor.
  22. He isn't even a freshman yet. Just needs to be patient
  23. Based on the number of offers he has, he probably wanted to take a look at other campuses. No harm in that.
  24. He got booted from his HS team before the season was even over, I believe. So I would say that a scholarship would be off of the table for sure. I am not sure that I would even extend a "preferred walk-on" offer either. If he still wanted to play for NU, I would tell him he can walk on with ZERO promises of ever seeing the feild. That would at least measure his dedication.
  25. I noticed on ESPN's college football page that one of the tabs was recruiting. When you click on that tab, you can either go to the recruiting home page or to a certain number of teams "Nation" pages. My questions are: 1. Why does Nebraska not have one? And 2. How can we get one? There are currently (5) SEC, (3) B1G, (3) PAC-12, (2) Big XII, and (1) ACC team that have a nation site. Anyone that has insight would be most welcome.
