I'm not worried about our offense, little lone our offensive line at all for next year. I think we have the bodies now to put a good line on the field. As for Rodriguez, the guy does need to lose some pounds and be moved inside.

No, I noticed it too. It was a pick play. In fact, I thought two of their long TDs were pick plays. Technically it is offensive pass interference, but it rarely gets called. UCLA was doing it too.But Offensive pass interference just does not get called anymore, in college or NFL, as it is defined. 10 years ago-heck, maybe even just 5- that gets called in a heartbeat. I think it's one of them things that gets turned away from in order to support this age of offense. Let's face it. Offensive players-esp in the NFL-have numerous advantages rules-wize. I think this is becoming another. The thing is they guy didn't even have to engage our DB. All he had to do really was pretend to run a curl route or something to get in front of the DB and the receiver who did catch the pass would have scored any way. Kenny Bell did this type of pretend route this year that resulted in a score I believe. But since the UGA guy did engage our DB I was pretty pissed it wasn't called. But that's just the way it is.

Am I the only one who thought that long TD pass should have been a offensive penalty? I could have swore that TE engaged our DB way before the other guy even caught the ball. I was yelling at the tv as soon as I saw the ball in the air. But I digress. It was a good season. I look forward to seeing the young guys we've recruited and haven't played or have played sparingly. We've recruited a lot of speed and size at the LB spot the last couple years and big guys like Valentine should help our D immensely.

Wasn't a great year for the defense. Kind of reminds me of Bo's first year in 2008. We gave up a lot of yards to teams like Oklahoma and Missouri. One year later we become without a doubt one of the best D's in college football. If we can improve our D enough and with our offense which I believe will only be better next year. We've got a chance to do some great things. Good year boys! I'm already ready for next year. Go Huskers!

I agree. I'd definitely leave that type of decision up to Heard. But if I were him it's something to consider, injured groin or not. That isn't really agreeing with HuskerShark's statement. He was saying Abdullah would be better fit for corner because he thinks Heard has more upside at running back. Which is a statement I agree with, at least the part about Heard having more upside. I think he would have proven this had he gotten more carries throughout the season. I wasn't talking about Abdullah or commenting on HuskerSharks thought about Abdullah. I was agreeing that I wouldn't want to toy with switching Heard around positions unless Heard wanted to. Go back and only read the first two sentences of HuskerSharks comment and you hopefully see what I'm talking about. I apologize for not being as clear as one possibly could on my statement. If Heard wants to play in the NFL, he really should consider becoming a DB. He a good RB, but I just don't know if he's going to get the touches. Maybe he will next year with Rex leaving.

I've said before if this guy came to Nebraska he would be starting at some point as a true freshmen. I'm not knocking the DB's we have, its just that Willis is a damn fine player. A true corner at that. Good size, speed, and agility. From this season all too often our DB's don't make a play on the ball or are awful when the try. Willis can take it to another level. Priority or not, Willis would make Nebraska better and that's why we need him on our team.

Even so, on that play I was screaming at the tv for an illegal pick on the offense before the guy even caught the ball. It was a missed call by the refs but I guess that's the way it goes.

Notice nobody ever came to Taylor's aid? Taylor got a cheap shot in the title game too with no retaliation. This team is soft and our opponents know it. Taylor don't need no aid. He ain't gonna let no one bark in his ear. He can handle himself. I'm proud the way he handled himself.

Damn proud of this team! And Martinez... I don't care what some people say, that kid is one tough sob. Fought til the end and gives nothing but his all. This offense has been getting better and better every year. Lets clean up this defense, gets some recruits, and get ready for next season. Go Huskers baby!
