  1. Not sure when, but at some point in the last couple weeks, they allowed restaurants and bars to open back up in all counties except the hot spots. For instance, Last Friday when I landed in Omaha, I was able to go down in the Old Market and actually eat in a restaurant on actual plates and not styrofoam takeout. It was glorious. Restaurants I think are at half capacity and tables spread apart. The person I was with made the comment that it was nice not having tables right beside you listening to conversations...etc.
  2. I would be interested in knowing what the ratio is of political ideology on Facebook. I always thought it was because I'm from central Nebraska and that's where most of my friends are from, so my Facebook page would typically be filled with Republican/conservative crap. I always thought other people's pages are probably filled the other way. Maybe, it's turned into a conservative dominant cesspool and Zuckerberg is only playing to his customer base. PS....that doesn't excuse him.
  3. The list in the article is indicative of what a joke the award is. Don't get me wrong, I would love for 2AM or any Husker to win it. But, they list their top 15. All but two are QBs with the other two being RBs. Sorry, a football team is more diverse than that.
  4. Again, the vast majority of this post is speculation with no basis....especially the bolded. I have friends from college from a few years older than me all the way to a few years younger than me. Some, I was in college with for only one year. I know a guy who golfed in college. He was telling me about a guy he's still good friends with. The friend was a senior when he was a Freshman. Is that anecdotal evidence? Yes...but no more than what some are claiming about him not having friends on the team because he's from the 2015 class.
  5. This is something I keep seeing and this is nothing more than speculation. Just because he's a 5th year senior, doesn't mean he doesn't have friends still on the team.
  6. Very nice. Yes, we might have missed on one WR partly because we changed coaches, but this is a possible other side of the coin.
  7. Talent wise and as a football player, yes, he would get drafted. However, NFL teams pay attention to things like what he is doing right now. Are they going to draft him, spend a ton of money on him, only to have him quit? Are the rumors of him really not loving football true? When it's your job and people are paying you a lot of money to do it, that's a pretty big question. I would say that the way things are right now, he would not get drafted that high....if he does actually get drafted.
  8. There is no good way forward. We are what we are. We are a country of individuals (that is good). But, that doesn't work in these situations. There will just be a certain part of the population that has the attitude of either, "this is stupid and you are stupid for going along with it" or "you're not going to tell me what the f#&% to do". I hope this doesn't happen. But, the only way this changes a majority of their minds is if we have a major spike in infections and deaths. Even then, most of the people in the above mentioned groups won't wake up unless it happens in their area or within their family/friend circle. And, many of them that that happens to won't get it.
