  1. OK, you whisky/scotch/bourbon fanatics. What fine libation do you think is in the glass sitting on the side table in The Last Dance by Michael Jordan? Hmmmm......
  2. Sure...at least close to it. Not enough to debate it.
  3. I really hope it's Omar Manning and he becomes an All American first round draft choice after scoring 4 TDs in the conference championship game that takes us to the playoffs and we shock the world.
  4. I don't think you spend a month in post season. You have your play off and maybe a few other games. No where close to the 372 bowl games with packed stadiums and everyone glued to the TV for in a normal season. I think this is doable. College baseball and track isn't going to like it but...so what. This is helping pay for their sports.
  5. I strongly suggest everyone participate in this. https://www.testnebraska.com/ It's simple. It's easy. It's confidential.
  6. Oh....the other years are at ISU. I didn't look close enough and thought they were congruent.
  7. Your 90 year old Dad has some really cool lingo going there.
  8. I can't read the article. Please fill me in. The headline claims this is business as usual for this staff. But, this staff hasn't coached together yet. So, how can they make that claim?
  9. The idea isn't to test the whole state. And, it can be expanded. You're right, it's a start. I just went through the questionnaire. It designed to find people who may be asymptomatic and get them tested, then track them.
  10. In a strange sort of way, if you want to be a fan of a team and the players on the team, the NBA has more stable rosters.
  11. If they do well, I'm sure I will watch. I didn't say I lose all interest in the team. But, it's not the same.
  12. Fine....but for me, I lose interest in the players and therefore, the team.
  13. I personally believe it's way too early in many of the areas that are discussing it like Georgia, Michigan...etc. I do believe some states need to adjust their stay-at-home order. Pennsylvania, for instance, didn't make any sense as to what businesses could stay open and which ones couldn't. However, I'm to the point of saying...what ever. If some open up early and they have a spike in cases and deaths....well.....they were stupid. If they open up early and they don't, then it's great for the people going back. I think the criteria for states to open back up the WH put out were decent. Problem is, some states are doing it and they don't even meet the minimum requirements. BTW...we are at 2,200 deaths today and it's only 2:45. Sure doesn't seem like things are slowing down that much.
  14. I'm to the point with basketball that I shouldn't even pay attention till the season is about to start and then look to see who's on the team. It amazes me how many kids transfer. It's probably just me. But, I lose some interest in the team when you can't get to know a kid and watch him develop.
  15. Just so you know. Stupidity isn't monopolized by the US.
  16. @JJ Husker is correct, it’s the responsibility of the contractor. He should have known he needed to drive on your property and required notification of you. It should also be in his contract that all damage is repaired back to its original state. I would suggest having an attorney write a letter to the contractor. You have given them ample amount of time and opportunities to discuss it and fix it. Sad thing is, the attorney is probably going to cost you close to the $500 you say you could repair it for. But, sometimes it’s the principle of the thing. And....your time and effort. PS...this is why I live in the country where my closest neighbor is 1/2 mile away.
  17. Problem is, you start paying storage till you can sell it again.
  18. We literally have an incompetent idiot in the Whitehouse.
  19. This is exactly what I'm saying. Also, coming from someone who used to be a Fox News addict, I used to just have it on constantly. It mind numbing noise in the back ground but it still sinks in and affects your attitude towards everything. Now, if I read something, I have to actively read it. I have to consciously sit down and concentrate on reading what I'm seeing. If I get 2 sentences into something and realize it's BS, I stop. I'm not fed the BS for the next 30 minutes affecting how I'm thinking. It's an active action instead of a subconscious indoctrination. I can still get filled with misinformation. But, it's not the same thing.
  20. Oh, I think this is huge. If you are reading it, it takes out the emotional presentation of the information. You can also spend a little more time, if needed, and digest what exactly you are reading. You can also get an opinion of the type of site it's coming from.
  21. This is all very frustrating from all sides. First, you have the people who are off work or own businesses that have been shut down and they are frustrated. Many times, people don't know how to vent that frustration and they take it out on the people who made those decisions. Then, you have people who CAN work or are required to work because the are "essential" and they are very frustrated because they are put in danger or are forced to be away from family. I have the feeling things are going to get rather ugly. Sad thing is, we don't have a leader that's willing to calm the waters.
