  1. Really? There were some very heated arguments over the last 12-18 months on this hire. If there wasn't anyone who was having a positive attitude towards him, who were the negative attitudes arguing with?
  2. I'm not a big fan of ND by any stretch. But, college football needs northern midwest teams to be good and ND is one of those teams. All of college football is better if ND, OSU, Michigan and Nebraska all rise up to be on the same level as what the top sunbelt (geography, not conference) teams have been.
  3. It's a tricky road to travel being a Republican candidate in the era of Trump.
  4. Well, what you are describing is similar to my feelings. In the Republican party there is a certain amount of voters that love Trump and want him to be President. However, I'm a firm believer that if you back up 16-20 years ago, Trump would have been laughed off the stage as the biggest joke in the Republican party as a candidate. This year, he wins. What has changed??? My opinion is the voters in the early to mid Primaries for some reason is what has changed. And...it's baffling to me why they would pick the village idiot. So...going forward, the question is, how does the party pick up the pieces after he gets demolished in November and move forward. Somehow those voters need to rethink whatever is going through their minds.....OR......different voters need to be in those early primaries. If neither of those happen...RIP Republican Party.
  5. Positive all the way so far. Really don't understand being anything but that.
  6. All home teams win except Rutgers.
  7. Agreed that it is not a bad thing to be able to carry losses forward, but without Trump further explaining why he pays zero income tax and this giant loss being over 20 years ago he really leaves me no choice but to assume he is dodging taxes in some way or another. Releasing those tax returns would obviously expose him in some way or another so we are really just left to our assumptions. Oh...believe me....him not willing to release them gives everyone all the fuel they need to start believing the worst. There is obviously a reason why he won't release them and it's NOT because of an audit. That's the dumbest excuse in the world and anyone who knows anything can see through that.
  8. The conversation that will be had will be within the Republican Party as they try to figure out how to keep out the outsiders like Trump. Even if they regain control of their party you need not look any further than the Democrats to see how well this control would treat the American people. That party did have its sh#t together and still nominated a candidate that no one wanted. Only way anything changes is if voters get away from these institutions. You hit on it right there. The inner management of the party didn't want anything to do with Trump. They didn't go as far as the Dems and rig it against him (at least and be successful with it). The people who need to take the blame for this are the voters in the early to middle states in the primaries. THEY are the mindless voters that thought he was so awesome and gave him the momentum to go through and ultimately win the nomination. I still have absolutely no idea what these people thought they were voting for. In some ways, it's sad that they were duped so badly by a fraud. To change things, maybe the Republicans need to completely change how they do their primaries so it doesn't give just a few early states so much power.
  9. Isn't there usually a presser on Monday morning? Did they skip it because there's no game this week? I have no clue...but, that sounds possible.
  10. If there were to be a news conference today, we would have heard something by now.
  11. I'm glad these two are being used in the WC game.
  12. Dude, I could rolls and rolls of braunschweiger. Love that stuff so much. OK...you have found one good use of liver. I grew up on that stuff.
  13. I can agree wt this. He seems to be imploding in from all directions. The bold applies to Clinton as well. How we ended up wt these 2 ... Well, the only reason each of them are not absolutely imploding in this election is because the other candidate is so bad. Thank you early Republican voters in the Primary....You did such a bang up job picking the Republican nominee.
  14. Interesting, isn't it? Not surprised. When you see some of the most biased, offensive tweets the profiles are also typically beautiful women, which I also find interesting. Especially since we know how he's performing with that population. I'm confused at the population that you're referring to here. Are you saying that Trump isn't doing well with "beautiful" women? If so, how are you measuring this? He is performing the best with white males. Off the top of my head I can't recall the age range. Maybe my comment was too broad, but I'll stand by it :-) I can't imagine why you would say that. LINK LINK LINK
  15. There is something seriously wrong when a player's career lasts longer than a stadium.
  16. Gotta say....All of a sudden yesterday I got really nervous about the post season. Now, that big lead we built in winning percentage only means that we have home field advantage. Not much more than that.
  17. Let me guess: Neither of you keep the heart and liver from the deer you shoot, either. The only thing any liver is good for is catfish bait. I have saved the heart and eaten it. It's pretty good.
