  1. So....let me make sure I understand this. These two publish an article predicting (SWAG method) what light signals from ET would look like.....then they go and digitally study billions of stars and miraculously find a few with that same light signal and now they claim they have found messages from ET. I hope someone isn't paying them a lot of money to do this genius work.
  2. Well that game sucks. I don't think it would have changed the outcome so, this is not an excuser for the loss. But, as others have said, that Ump's strike zone was not consistent at all. The Cubs definitely had a reason to be frustrated.
  3. I actually thought about him the other day. He left here because he wanted to play for a contender and he wasn't real happy with his coach at Nebraska. Well....as of today anyway, Huskers have a pretty good DL coach that the players like and we are a contender. MSU???? Not so much. So, unfortunately for him, he went from a really bad season at Nebraska to a really bad season at MSU. That has to really suck.
  4. This is a huge game no matter how you slice and dice it. If we win, it helps legitimize the program to many people who are doubting it. However, really the only way it's a total disaster for the program is if we get demolished and aren't competitive at all. Right now, most people are expecting us to lose. If we lose in a close game...meh....we aren't where we want to be but it's not major headline crap.
  5. There is one heck of a lot of slime in this story. She investigates many in the Pennsylvania justice system including many judges, prosecutors and even Supreme Court Justices. Some are forced to resign over the issue. Now she is being prosecuted by that same system and sent to jail. Hmmmm....It would be nice if an outside law enforcement agency would take a look at this case to make sure this isn't retaliation for her messing up their porn ring.
  6. If Stassen is correct, it's currently: 1. Michigan - 932 2. Notre Dame - 894 3. Texas - 889 4. Nebraska - 887 5. Ohio State - 881 Well, here is Texas's remaining schedule: Baylor L TT W W Virginia L KU W TCU W I'm seeing them at 3-2 with that schedule. Of course, as we see many times in college football the wheels can always fall completely off and start losing to even really bad teams. I will be a big J Hawk fan that weekend. I would love it if they would lose every single one but I doubt if they do. Notre Dame's remaining schedule: Miami W Navy L Army L VT L USC L Now, let's say we split the next two and win the rest. That's 4-1. So, end of regular season: ND 895 Texas 892 Nebraska 891 I think we will have to wait till next year to pass either of them. BUT...next year we could make a big move in the rankings. We'll also have a bowl game. If it rolls right, maybe we tie Texas based on your analysis. I could also see texas loosing to either TT or TCU. Then we could move ahead of them. I purposely just did regular season. I agree with TT and TCU. As I said in my comment, once a team starts having a really bad year, the wheels can fall completely off.
  7. Can someone please show me the definition of "rivalry" that shows the two sides must be equal in wins during a certain period of time to be an official "rivalry"? Wisconsin is a rival of ours that is building every time we play them. Not sure what the purpose is of denying that.
  8. This is extremely disappointing. He always seemed like a good guy. I lose one hell of a lot of respect for any man who would abuse a woman or children. I hope he gets the help he needs but, this is just pathetic.
  9. Cool stat lines. One thing that is also mind blowing. This guy in only his second year in the league mind you is going from only playing in 2 games at the very beginning of the season straight to playing in the World Series after being injured for basically the entire regular season and almost all of the post season. It's nuts when you think about it. And I hope his bat is smoking hot.
  10. LOL...season opener for Cavs at home to raise their championship banner is tonight. Is anyone going to be there?
  11. That actually doesn't surprise me. The name dropping thing was more of a situation where he needed to correct what she was trying to say. However, I can not see Drumpf being someone he would have any desire to be associated with. So, if he is going to vote for someone, it's going to be Hillary. If I'm surprised at anything on this, it's that he announced it publicly.
  12. I am going to be absolutely shocked if Iowa goes Trump. I always laughed when I lived there because they put themselves out as a very conservative state. But....they almost always vote for the Democrats for President. With the village idiot as the Republican nominee, I just can't see them falling for that crap.
  13. When it wasn't conservative, duh. I read a lot of Vox articles because I can find some on the site that is well researched and with links to their sources...etc. Many times I find their articles to be very fair. However, following them on twitter is a completely different story. They literally send dozens of tweets out a day on their articles with head lines that, if that's all I was looking at, I would assume they are a very liberal site. I personally think they are doing their site a very bad disservice for doing that.

  15. I agree with what you said except that it needs to be the "mental performance of his Husker career". He has had some games that he did exceptionally well. In fact, most games since the Purdue game last year, he has done well with a few exceptions here and there. MSU, UCLA, Oregon are just a few that come to mind that were very well done by him. I expect he will do the same in this one.
  16. Oh...I totally agree with this. Both parties have been in this situation before. Actually, the long term hope for the Republicans is not what they wan to hear right now. Hillary has won. It would take an epic crazy thing for her to lose right now and I personally expect them to at least lose the Senate.....if it gets crazy they may lose the House too. The absolute worst case scenario for the long term health of a conservative movement is if Trump and Republicans lose a very close election. That will somehow give them the idea that what has happened in this election is some how acceptable and all they have to do is tweak something here and there and they will be back to winning elections. That is NOT the idea they should have. They need to be totally destroyed in this election so there is absolutely no question in their minds that things need to change in a major way. AND, this change mentality needs to be drilled into the voters in the party. I really don't like the idea of Hillary being President with the Dems controlling congress. But, I think that's a short term view of what needs to happen. Right now, I think conservatives need to examine what they are doing with the long term view.
  17. I love the Wisconsin/Nebraska rivalry that is building. Two programs that are very much alike other than we have some hardware in the case that they don't. It is a very natural rivalry. I think Iowa is a natural rival also but it just seemed forced when we joined. It will build from here.
  18. I obviously want to see a win. But, if we lose, I want to see us competitive and have a chance to win it in the 4th. Also, if we lose, I want it to be because they make good plays instead of us doing something totally inept. If we lose, I won't be happy. But, at least if I get my wish here, it will be respectable. It doesn't even make any sense to me that a 70-31 loss is equal in people's minds than a 23-21 loss. If we lose to them 23-21 in the fourth quarter, we were pretty equal in programs. We can look at probably a few plays here and there that could have gone our way to change the outcome. Hey...make some minor changes and go get them next time. If we lose 70-31, we don't even belong on the same field. HUGE difference.
  19. Wisconsin loses top linebacker for season. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/17875350/wisconsin-badgers-loses-top-tackler-jack-cichy-rest-2016?ex_cid=espnapi_partner_College+Football+Playoff
  20. No....Im not a gambler. I find it interesting that the betting public has set it at Wisconsin by that much. I also think it's going to be a higher scoring game.
  21. Line is Wisconsin -9 and over/under is 42.5. Interesting.
